After the events in Deponia, Rufus came to his senses. He's grown prudent, amicable, kind and caring, without any intention to cause major mayhem just to further his own selfish ends. It seems he is far from chaining himself to flaming saw blades, training torpedo-dolphins or plundering platypus nests. Or is he? Eventually, it's a flaming saw blade that “persuades” Goal to stay on Deponia once more, splitting her personality into three parts in the process, each aspect of her consciousness stored to a different cartridge. So it's up to Rufus and his remarkable charm to persuade Goal's personalities to fuse into one again, make his way to Elysium with her and save Deponia from certain Chaos while he's at it. Join Rufus on his way through the vast area of the Floating Black Market, meet new, bizarre characters and reunite with familiar faces.
The second adventure on Deponia tells a unique, self contained story playable without further knowledge of the first installment. Challenging puzzles, elaborate dialogues and unique wacky humor ensure a truly hilarious gaming experience. Fans of the first game will discover new aspects of familiar characters' backgrounds and have many questions answered.
Strange and wacky devices ranging from torpedo dolphins, burning saw blades, and even anti-gravity socks.
Challenging puzzles coupled with hours of dialogue bristling with humor.
Bizarre characters--both old and new--each with their own quirks of personality.

The difference between the first and the second game reminds me of the difference between the first and the second "Simon The Sorcerer" games. Except this time the difference is way worse.
Illogical puzzles, action sequences, cruelty, these are the things you have to face if you start to play this game. It's a sad disappointment compared to the first instalment.
dont buy this game on gog its not worth it i love deponia but this game glitchs and freezes constantly. the developers refuse to patch it on a non steam website.
For those interested just like the first deponia it works on linux with wine. Be sure to use the latest version or wine 1.5.16 or the installer won't run. Apparently gog updated its installer.
Enjoy the game.
So I was playung the game up until the chat with Tony near the dolphins swimming pool. At one point she was tired of my dialogue options and game popped up a message "slain by dragon". Now the middle option was "new game" which sent me back to the tutorial with Bozo in the very beginning... aaaand. My save is gone! Game was auto saving so why would I need extra saves? I did not make them? How would I understand that my game progress will be completely ruined BY JUST A DIALOGUE OPTION?? Maybe you would somehow BRING TO MY ATTENTION THAT TEN HOURS I PUT INTO GAME WILL JUST FLUSH INTO THE TOILET BY ONE DIALOGUE OPTION????
WTF?????
