After the events in Deponia, Rufus came to his senses. He's grown prudent, amicable, kind and caring, without any intention to cause major mayhem just to further his own selfish ends. It seems he is far from chaining himself to flaming saw blades, training torpedo-dolphins or plundering platypus nests. Or is he? Eventually, it's a flaming saw blade that “persuades” Goal to stay on Deponia once more, splitting her personality into three parts in the process, each aspect of her consciousness stored to a different cartridge. So it's up to Rufus and his remarkable charm to persuade Goal's personalities to fuse into one again, make his way to Elysium with her and save Deponia from certain Chaos while he's at it. Join Rufus on his way through the vast area of the Floating Black Market, meet new, bizarre characters and reunite with familiar faces.
The second adventure on Deponia tells a unique, self contained story playable without further knowledge of the first installment. Challenging puzzles, elaborate dialogues and unique wacky humor ensure a truly hilarious gaming experience. Fans of the first game will discover new aspects of familiar characters' backgrounds and have many questions answered.
Strange and wacky devices ranging from torpedo dolphins, burning saw blades, and even anti-gravity socks.
Challenging puzzles coupled with hours of dialogue bristling with humor.
Bizarre characters--both old and new--each with their own quirks of personality.

I've just recently started playing Deponia games. Deponia 1 was great and funny but some puzzles were "reaching". But Deponia 2 has no puzzle issues, everything is "logical". But the best part is how funny the game is! It's the funniest game EVER so far! Some jokes would be banned nowadays so it's really refreshing to see such amazing writing! Also voice acting is sublime! Deponia 2 is my favorite game so far. Cant wait to start Deponia 3 now!
the zone puzzles in the 2nd state are much more complex, with a very large black market zone, which is fun and welcome. Rufus does have a lot of wordy irreverent answers and dialogue choices, which is a blessing and curse at times, because too much of it shows he hasn't learned a thing, and has confidence he hasn't really shown how he got. I'm not sure if this is "personality" vs omniscient narrator.
Deponia was very good, so I started the second one without doubts, huge mistake ...
No I'm kidding ! Chaos on deponia is even better than his predecessor ! Graphics are good, animations are good, jokes are very good, storyline is nice, puzzles are hard enough to make my brain smoke without burning it !
And once again Daedalic made me feel many emotions in a raw. Indeed, Chaos on deponia is not only funny, it possesses deeper levels that may teach good lessons to us all !
My rating is for complete trilogy as I consider it as a single unit divided into three parts just to get more money.
I finished the series (all three parts) and I can say only that my feelings was worse and worse during the play. I finished it only to have it behind me and I will never back to this cycle.
1. Gfx is OK
2. Puzzles - partially OK but some of them are just stupid
3. Main character - jerk who I disliked more and more during the game
4. Plot - in general good potential, but lot of drawbacks spoils it
5. The end of the whole story - just screwed.
