Morale system is a BIG problem

Besides many bug that this game is riddled with that I mainly see during combat and lack of abilities such as cover, stand, sit, sneak, crouch, etc. this game have enormous morale problem that makes this game unplayable to me, and believe me I want to play it so much. Aggressive neutral??? Characters drop in guns blazing that I didn't steal from or shoot at them and I ofc kill them (that goes for looters too) and got penalty for killing characters that didn't attack me. They say that neutral characters say "back off" or "get out" or something like that if one intrude in house but I didn't see it anywhere except old man with shotgun in some house. maybe its not visible from obstacles like some toggled containers that are lootable... I will play this game when they fix that mainly and all other bugs are passable. Right now if character drops in guns blazing and you kill him without any reason it will count like as you killed neutral character and you got yourself a nice morale penalty.

Zombiekilling is a chore

When the game was realesed it had a lot of bugs. But it was still fun to play. Most of those bugs seem fixed now. So its a good bugfree game now right? Sadly no it is not, during all the bugfixing, they also tried to make the game harder because frankly, it was too easy. To combat this, hey cranked up the aggrorange for zombies, which basically makes it impossible to stealthattak an zombie. while reason suggests this should make it harder too kill zombies it just makes it more tedious. you have to lure or pull zombies one by one, which leads to zombiekills taking 2-4 turns. (before it was 1-3) and it is a lot less fun to stand away and wait for the enemy to approach compared to bashing its brains out from behing. all in all zombiekilling is very very booring and tedious now and it feels like a chore. And there are a lot of zombies in that game. this leads me to give -3 stars to the game. (i game to avoid work not do it) as for the rest the gameplay was solid and the bugs mostly fixed, the exploration is fun (except when you meet zombies.) the character interaction is resonable although i have no idea why the chatacter takes care of some of the more flegmatic and prsochologigly unstable chars. the possibiliites of upgrades and craftng are making the game a lot more fun so i guess i would rate it a 4.5 if the zombiekillings were not that tedious.

Great turn based, open world zombie game

This is a great game. Only issue is it wont run or it'll crash a lot on windows 10. I recommend using windows 7 with it, i have zero problems, and it got rid of the grey screen on start up. On a side note, i really think this game should go on sale, im not sure it has in a long time though, but i still feel it is definitely good game, but it should be $10 on sale occasionally.

Misleading and unfinished

I think people should not buy this game or support the company DoubleBear for any future games until the Give a public apology. I don't know about all of you but I found Kickstarter and Steam Early Access to be a wonderful breath of fresh air. I was sick of big AAA and medium sized AA Developers and Publishers pushing out 3/4 made buggy games that after I paid full price for had to wait months before it was patched up and enjoyable. This was the norm and I was sick of it. So I started supporting only EA and Kickstarter games, more than I could afford at times. Dead State is one of those games and I was very happy to support Doublebear. Sadly DoubleBear betrayed its fans and sought to deceive new buyers into believing that Dead State was a finished product in order to take full advantage of the Holiday shopping season. Brian and the Dead State team had pages of known bugs and some of them were game and story breaking. Ask yourself what reason would a Developer move a product that is known to be a buggy mess from Early Access to calling the game fully released. We the gamers are there Publisher and we were not on their backs pushing them to release the game in a unfinished state in order to reap the profit from the Holiday season. My over all point is that when small gamer funded games pull the same fast one as big AAA developers something has to be done about it. This type of behavior and not be rewarded. These type of actions corrupt the new system from within. If this is allowed to happen then we get get a bunch of small studios acting just like the AAA ones because they can. If they had funding problems there are so many other more honest options. We gamers have shown ourselves to be very giving. I ask people to avoid this game until the game is finished and DoubleBear publicly apologies

Best Zombie Game I have ever played

If you like zombies and specially the Walking Dead Series you will love this game, as you will find many similarities. It is truly an RPG combianed with turned based tactics, survivor and horro genre. It is not hard to get into and once you get the feeling of it, it just very easy to play. Strongly recommended
