Darksiders II follows the exploits of Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in an action-packed tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This epic journey propels Death across an expansive gameworld as he tries to redeem his brother, War, the horseman blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.
Like the original Darksiders game before it, the second iteration of the series is primarily a hack ‘n slash adventure. The game takes place across netherworld environments, including "The White city," an outpost where angels live, and "The Eternal Throne," a floating fortress where the Lords of the Dead stand guard over souls that need to be cleansed.
Although Death is the most feared of the Four Horsemen, his physical abilities are very different than his brother, War. Death is far more nimble, and relies on a combination of melee and ranged attacks. In combat Death's primary weapon is his huge iconic scythe, with a wide range of other weapons and usable items that must be gathered as the game progresses. Weapons can be dual-wielded, upgradable armor can be acquired for protection and Death has access to his terrifying and powerful mount, Despair.

Darksiders 2 with All DLCs included and integrated into the game, offering a total playtime of more than 30 hours (Maker Armor Set, The Abyssal Forge, The Demon Lord Belial, Death Rides, Angel of Death, Deadly Despair, Shadow of Death, Mortis Pack, Rusanov's Axe, Van Der Schmash Hammer, Fletcher's Crow Hammer, Mace Maximus, Argul's Tomb).
Improved Graphic Render Engine for higher visual quality especially in terms of lighting and shadows.

Had this been bundled with a remastered version of Darksiders, the package would be perfect. As it stands, it's just a slightly better version of an already brilliant game.

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition provides all the enjoyment of the original Darksiders 2 and then some. Some glitches and the fact that it does not add all that much to the base game hold it back a little but it is still a solid title

Needs fixing!
First of all, thanksgiving is in order, i was given this game for free. I have also to mention a common misconception of other people, which is false and misleading; concerning DLCs. In this version, many changes were made into core game mechanisms, especially items and loot. Guides from earlier console versions of Deathinitive Edition, mention specifically where and when inside the game, you can find the as of now, unobtainable from Serpent Tome, items. They even made the 3 as of before unobtainable items, Pauldron of the Horseman, Chaos Fang Scythe and Crow Set, accessible to the player now, with pauldron being given to you from Muria in Tri Stone. The rest are boss loot now, or masterfully hidden secret loot and you have to locate them yourself, they are hard earned, through proper efforts. Some of them also now are said to scale with your level, making them more useful than levels 5-10 that they were used, before. The DLC campaigns are accessible only from certain, in-game NPCs, in this version. Now that this is out of the way, the game has some problems that make it unplayable. If you change the graphics options, even once, even to the slightest, random crashes happen anywhere during gameplay, with a somewhat high frequency. One of them, upon entering Shadow Gorge (area near beginning), happens ALWAYS and becomes technically a gamestopper; even if you didn't tamper with options. You cannot progress anymore from that point onwards. Movement is clunky with delays, targeting is buggy as hell. Targeting must really be fixed, or else bosses like The Guardian or Beliar are going to be unbeatable. Finally, please disregard the reviews claiming DLC are missing. Not only nothing is omitted from this version, but they even restored items that were absent from gog version of the original game. Hope Nordic takes care of the issues. Can wait; this game is really good.

Puzzlesiders 2
Man, I really like this game and, like the first one, I know I'll play it again. The graphics, like the first one, are smooth and easy on the eyes. The story is better than decent and gameplay is, to me, is flawless. Darksiders 2 is challenging and can be frustrating but it made me "work" harder to progress the story. I used an Xbox One controller, which performed perfectly, and experienced no technical issues. I could tell you what the game is about but you can easily read that in the GoG descripton. I'm just giving my experience with the game. It's a good game at regular price. It's a great game on sale. Watch some YouTube gameplay videos.
