Not finished yet, but enjoying it so far! Nice and simple; you get as much depth out of it as you want to put into it. At $20 it's probably worth, and if you catch it on sale, it's ABSOLUTELY worth the money you put in. You'll likely get way more than 20-bucks worth of fun out of it, even if you just do a single playthrough over a weekend.
Art direction is very pleasing, and the variety of aliens feel truly alien. Characters are fun, silly, and tropey, but with a larger cast it prevents any one character to exist so much that they become annoying.
Overworld gameplay reminds me of the Witcher card game, which is mostly pointing and clicking before going into battle, then crafting/upgrading cards after.
The battles are neat, and offer a variety of deck types. The movement mechanics help bring an additional depth and resource to play around with.
For the most part I played the first 3 characters the entire time (after experimenting with the new ones as they came in), as they fit my own personal playstyle, but I got the 6th character and have been rotating them in more consistently.
