The layout of this game is Incredible, I'm certain this is a game I would love to see evolve. It takes a lot for me to say this, because I have leveled 600+ LVLs in GTA V Online, (I would still LOVE to see Cyberpunk Online) But this, This may be even better then GTA.. put the same amount of funding and effort into the game and I have NO doubt this will take the world by storm!
Where to begin with this game. I guess first and formost it is worth noting that Cyberpunk is a masterpiece. A beautiful and flawed work of art. The voice acting, character and environment design, and the genral mood are probably some of the best I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and play a few hours of this game. Even if it is only to enjoy wondering around night city.
Why then have people been so disapointed? This is partially CD Projekt Red's fault for bitting off more than they could chew. A simultaneous platform release for such a huge game was bound to fail. They should have optimized it and released it for one platform (PC) and left the console crowd waiting. Anyway, what is done is done. It is also woth noting that the players are also to blame. I think we had such high expectations that nothing was going to be good enough.
As far as bugginess goes, there is really not much broken with it anymore. There is some clipping here and there, but nothing too eggregious. Performance wise, the game is now fairly optimized. I'm running on a 970 on medium high graphics just fine.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an unforgettable experience. Night City is fantastic, graphics and music\sound are among the best i've seen in a videogame (played at ultra with rtx), artistic direction is top notch, the lore is incredible and the story is very good.
Sadly gameplay is not as good as the aspects above, gunplay, netrunning, level design are great but enemies are stupid, they can't properly react to player actions and this breaks the immersion a little.
But the main problem is that tha game was advertised as RPG but it's not properly an RPG. V is a predefined person, you can customize his appearence and skills but you can't really decide his personality, the dialogue options are limited and the life path influences only the starting point of the game and some unimportant lines of dialogue. The decisions you can make are very few and the most important ones are at the end of the game. The build you decide to make with the skill tree doesn't matter in the quests, for example you can complete a netrunning quest in which you have to hack a powerful netrunning device even if you haven't invested a single skill point in intelligence.
Regarding the bugs, i've encountered only one major bug, i can't complete a quest named "These boots are made for walkin", the car you have to find is invisible, but i've read it's because you have to do the quest before Ghost Town.
Despite these problems, the game is still great, it is fun to play, it makes you think about some important aspects of life and it is capable to give you real emotions, thanks to characters like Johnny, Panam, Rogue, Judy etc that are so well written they seem real.
Vote 9/10
Gameplay and story are awesome. Characters are really deep and side quests are far from being "Deliver this box from A to B". Graphics are gorgeous. Some performance issue and bugs (collisions and cars).
