Beautiful, breathtaking game.

I want to be clear about a few things at the start of my review. I am running this on a RTX 3070 and i7 8700. This game runs like a dream on this card. I am running it on high/ultra 1440p DLSS quality and getting 90FPS. I have not experienced any crashes and the bugs I have seen are relatively minor. I highly recommend this game, it is a wonderful and beautiful experience. Sadly I think this game is a victim of it's own hype. People build games up to be the next massiah and then get angry when their unrealistic expectations are not met. This game is everything I could have hoped for. What amuses me more is that people are angry that they did not delay it even further. We all know what would have happened if that had happened. There would have been a witch hunt. They will fix the bugs and performance issues, it was just as bad (ok, maybe not as bad but pretty bad) with Witcher 3 when it launched. Look at that game today. The key mapping issue is regrettable, I agree. I do hope they fix that, it does not impact me but it is very anti accessibility which is not really cool. I do hope to see substantial DLC support. If you have a 30 series card, an SSD, and a 6 core CPU and up, I would recommend this. If not, I would wait or upgrade your machine if you can not wait.

A few hitches but overall a GREAT game

Only a few hours in but I am loving it so far. I've had a few minor glitches, a few late LOD updates, a couple of texture glitches etc but nothing game breaking. It actually runs surprisingly well on my old PC, better than I thought it would. Totally worth the wait and I look forward to what CDPR has in store!

Good game

Cyberpunk 2077 is an amazing game. Picture GTA if it was good and combined with Assassins Creed and Borderlands. It has its fair share of bugs and glitches, but the game is playable. That is more than I can say of many launch titles. The devs are offering great support with the title and are busy patching the bugs. The fact that I can sneak up and lop someone’s head off, or snipe through a wall with a charged tech weapon, or hack a camera that then allows me to see and hack a security turret to gun down the enemies is amazing. Top this off with the ability to do some hardcore parkour, sneak thru a crime den past 20 thugs to silently snap the neck of a mob boss who beats women, and we have a game whose playability is amazing. The story is top notch and the voice acting is great. The extra effort with the motion capture shines through. Even with the bugs it is a good game. Haters gonna hate. Toxic folks rarely can see the good that is right in front of them. Give the game a shot and enjoy your time in Night City.

GG! 9/10

Awesome Game! 45 hours so far..no bugs, glitches or crashes. Everything running smooth. I don't know why so many ppl complaining. I hear it's a different story for consoles, it may be so... but on PC everything runs perfect. Story, charactes and gameplay are amazing. There are always things that could be ofc. One thing that bothers me is that there is no real support for triple monitor setup. I hope this will be corrected soon. GG! 9/10

A Tommy Wiseau like game due to bugs.

Pros: - Good (but ruined by glitches) writing / storytelling. - Amazing atmosphere. - Excellent graphics (if you care about that). - Unintentionally funny game due to glitches... Cons: - Good lord, the glitches: 2 game breaking (fixed), too many immersion ruining ones, and lots of minor inconsequential ones. - Some questionnable game design choices. - Painfully obviously made for consoles, resulting in awkward game and UI design for PC. So far, there's genuinely some good potential in this game, but the bugs need to be squashed. Every single dramatic cutscene I've seen has been undermined by a graphical bug that would turn an interesting and engaging moment into a farce and completely ruin my immersion. While most of the gameplay is fairly good, there is a clash between the storytelling and the constant need to loot everything which too breaks the immersion as you no longer have your mind on the dramatic story going on but instead on picking up random crap off the floor compulsively. Finally, there is lack of consistency with certain keybinds and overall the UI feels really awkward to use since it is designed with a controller in mind, a good thing if you're playing on console but just annoying when played on PC. There is also an issue with inconsistent casting I'd talk about but that would spoil the game so I'll leave it at that. Verdict: Wait a month or two for CDPR to finish their game. The core of this game is the story, and considering the storytelling is constantly undermined by glitches that ruin your immersion, it's best to wait for bugfixes.
