The game's great, but with fatal flaws

graphically this game is amazing and the optimazation could be better but it definitely has improved since relase with the last three patches. Pros - Great face animations thought it fails at time - Story: I'll admit the endings kind of left me dissapointed, but appart from that I really like the story telling and the characters City: Night city is breathtaking at times specially at night - - Gameplay: some people might not like it but I love it and I love the fact that I can equip a shotgun slow time a have a whole are of enemies gone within minutes, or have a katana/mantis blade build and rush at the camp slow time and take it out comepletely without them noticing whithing mere seconds. Now I have to try a netrunner build I mean who wouldn't want top take out a whole enemy camp without even setting foot in it just by controlling their own cameras at and by the looks of it the hacks you can do are awesome. Cons - Bugs, they might as well be considered feactures at this poin just based on how abundant they are - City feels empty not enought interactions with it apart from missions. Seriusly why can't I just sit down at a bar and have a few drinks with a friend. I can't even call them to hangout! -Most Choieces and life path don't even matter apart from some bonus dialog that does nothing. - The customazation is almost non existend - A LOT of missing feactures like really only three missions with jackie and he's dead. Like seriously look up how many missing feactures this game has just because management had the idea to anounce the game way to early, backed themself into a conner being preasured by investor and consumers and wanting to get money by the end of the year Hopefully the game pulls out a no man's sky out of their ass because the devs did a great job with the time they were given and it's sad that their hard work turned out like this.

Worth the wait

The game deserves to be played for the writing alone. Pros -Again the writing is amazing, by far CDPR's best so far. -Combat is pretty good and theres a lot of variety in how you can take things on. -There's a lot of build variety as well so no problem being a combat focussed netrunner, speed ninja, or whatever else you can cook up. -Night City is beautiful and I never get tired of exploring it Cons -Could use more customization options, especially once your in the main game (currently can't change hair after game starts for example) -Cop AI is oof, they spawn right behind you. Not the kind of game where your going to go on GTA style rampages so it doesnt effect the core experence, but keep it in mind when you break the law. -Combat AI varies from being pretty good (flanking, keeping pressure with grenades, etc) but dont be surprised if sometimes they just stand still. Doesn't happen too often but pretty immersion breaking when it does. -As of Dec 2020 it's still pretty buggy, but nothing game breaking, Little visual glitches here and there, sometimes physics wonks out, should be no problem for anyone whos played a bethesda game, this is significantly more stable. All in all i can't get enough, an excellent starting point for a new franchise. All of my complaints can and (knowing CDPR) probably will be fixed. Can't wait for more

Positive: game looks good music is good game is very fun Negative There are an incredible amount of bugs in this game T-pose clunky controls graphic anomalies I think the devs will need a significant time to fix this game because it's half finished. If they go fallout 76 and not fix the game CD Project is finished, just look at Bethesda right now.

Great Story & Setting, but no Witcher 3

Addressing the reported bugs (as of today). I had only 1 in my 20ish hours of play, it was just a character walking through a parked car. I know how to read recommended settings, so I tweak my PC as needed. Too many people seem to not know how to do this. Dropping to 2k resolution the game ran fine with my 2060 Super. Anyone complaining about "mediocre gunplay" apparently came into this game thinking it was a FPS. It's not & don't expect it to be. The gunplay is serviceable, not bad, not great ... it works. You get pistols, rifles, shotguns, etc the usual. Bladework is better, depending on where you swing your katana (or whatever) parts will fly off. However, DO NOT think this is a FPS game. It's not and CDPR was clear that it was an RPG first & FPS second. I didn't play the pen & paper game, so I went in blind as to the story and setting. The life paths really change how your game starts and affect dialogue choices later in the game. You will spend most of your time in Night City, but later on you can go to the outskirts for more open wide areas. There is A LOT to do. Besides main missions, many side activities pop up all the time. You will not be wanting for things to do. There is no one way to do anything, every situation has many ways to tackle it. Using weapons earns you xp with that weapon, so (for example) the more you use a pistol the better you'll get with it. This is in addition to benefits you'll get from Attributes and Perks. Story choices you make can have consequences later on. Most will not be apparent immediately. A small downside (for me) is the first person perspective. I always find it is less, not more, immersive. Occasionally in a fight with multiple opponents you can lose track of where enemies are since you have the 1P tunnel vision. Sometimes audio will fade a bit until you actually turn to face the person speaking. Not as good as Witcher 3, but still great story. 1P perspective took off 1 star.
