The good, the bad and the ugly. WIP/opn.

The good. +Gameplay feels good. Mix of rpg, shooter, stealth, some fps-melee and driving. Enjoyable. +The world/setting. Night city is a marvel even when driving the same road over and over jumping between 2 quest chains. +Characters, acting and early game stories. The first act of this game is great. Really puts you in the shiz. The characters and their actors really sell it too. +Graphical fidelity/visuals. Probably the best overall looking game I have played. The bad. -Bugs. Most bug can be fixed with a save/load every now and then. Crashed once in 50+ hours. There are a few bugs that I haven't found fixes for like perks or implants not working. Hopefully these get fixed soon as they cripple some play styles. -Narrative, marketting, Act 3 and player choice/agency. Bugs can probably be fixed but imo the real problem is how this game was often sold as a experience that gave weight to player choice. Or at least gave players hard choices. So much so that the devs repeated "You can't save the world, you can only save yourself." as a design philosophy for writing in the genre. ((Going to be slightly spoilerish from this point on, nothing that would ruin the plot. Skip2TLDR)) The problem is that the entire final Act of the game pigeon holes the player into either choosing to eat a bullet, on your own terms, or following a number of roads to ruin. All ending in events that despite the illusion of choice, have nothing to do with what the player wants or worked for. Player choice based changes are skin deep. (6afaik) TLDR: The writing does not payoff the players agency within the first 2 Acts nor does it offer a real choice at the conclusion of the journey. -In slight addition to the previous point, but also somewhat its own issue, choice payoff. There are a few good examples of a choice meaning something down the road, but most don't seem to effect anything. -Continuity. Also related to the final Act, a few important details are just not explained well. Thx.

Very good Game

The Story and all around are awesome, sorry to all people with problems but i think they fix them soon, even the sidequest are worth

Exceptional but unfinished, unpolished

+++ The story and the writing of the quests including the sidequests is top notch. --- The controls, the world is vast but shallow, and whoever game designer decided I should click/hold/release the mouse button 1200 times to upgrade my common components to uncommon ones, should get punched, repetedly, with gorilla arms.

Impulsive buy.

After 90h of playing game and finishing story on : i7 6700, DDR4 16 GB, SSD, W10, MSI 1060 6GB - medium details , Hard difficulty, NOMAD. No hype for me. Cyberpunk 2077 is for me blend of Far Cry 3(shooting, open world quests) / DeusEx(stealth and hacking) / Witcher 3(main quest and side quests)/Just Cause 2 (driving). I enjojed my time in Cyberpunk 2077 very much. I know nothing about Cyberpunk world, but i know Shadowrun and this is very similar perverse world. :-D GOOD: - main story (i like endings too) - side quests (Panam etc.) - landscape (from landfill thru oil pumps fields, diferent parts of city day /night) - TV :D - i like to stop and watch N54 ( details about world or talking about things V did), commercials(mostly perverse :D ) - NPC little conversations (the blue letters) - more ways to do GIG/Run - you are not locked in build - world is perverse and dark, it can be noisy but sometime is silent,my Shadowrun fix. - tons of loot ( yes i am one of them ) STANDARD: - shooting is good as fill between stories - stealth depends on how you can enjoy it - NPCD and GIG world fetch quests - shops, shards MEDIOCRE or BAD: - driving is pretty floaty and with GPS is nerve wrecking :D (i stop looking on GPS - better experience) - inventory , you have a ton of loot but you manage loot one by one - armor and customization - food and drink, police seems out of place - wierd behavior of AI ( cars, NPC, Enemy AI has problems when you run towards them, they do not know how to react, they cover or show me back and run away. - i had some graphical glitches (jackies headgun, infinite cars in Badlands etc.) and one bug in mission (reload fix it) - i was kind of disapointed that gangs are just different enemies and they are shallow - i feel that perks/stats need some balance ( i try push crafting but most level i can have was 13lvl for 90h of playtime) btw crafting has random elements :(

Tough start, rewarding experience

Started off not understanding how to win the first gunfight without loading 3 saves. After a while (lots of tough fights) I learned how to specc my quickhacks, and where to hide, cameras to hack, etc. Every single fight now feels super rewarding and intricate, and none are the same! Only had minor bugs, and they are definitely not enough to reduce any of the joy have gotten from this game.
