After several playthroughs since 2020, I can say that this game has definitely improved from its launch state. They've fixed many bugs and added features that make it a little more lively and varied. The story and characters are well-written and make the experience very intriguing and somewhat replayable. The graphics beautifully convey the setting and the various situations the player finds themselves in... BUT I can't help but think of the Cyberpunk 2077 that was promised back in 2018:
- The game world isn't as interactive as it was shown, except for a few traders and various scripted situations Night City Night City seems pretty dead (there are games released several years earlier that are a cut above this one).
- Many game mechanics have been cut, partially introduced, or reworked to the point of almost making no sense.
- The setting, as beautiful as it is, isn't what we saw in the old trailers; it should have been more retro, much closer to how cyberpunk was imagined in the 1980s.
So, as the title suggests, I can certainly say I enjoyed the game, but still with that aftertaste of disappointment.
