Open world design from 2005, boring story and some of the worst FPS combat I've ever experienced. Combat AI is brain dead, weapons aren't fun.
Oh, and also it's a technical mess, which may all be fixed after a few patches, but the issues with game design will remain. Massive disappointment.
Man i really wanted to love this game fck. but the upper managment completly screwed the development team out two more years easily so many missing features. Night city it self is beyond dead the ai just do circles. The best hope we have is this turns into the next no mans sky and is eventually good like they promised. Watch Crowbcats video!!!!
I thought that I would be able to run the game decently with a 980ti, i5-9600k and16GB of RAM, however, I am consistently at 30 FPS on low settings with occasional dips below that even.
The story itself compelling, but it is entirely too short and the game is lacking content overall. I was able to complete the main story and every side quest that was offered to me, in addition to exploring the world on my first playthrough in around 50 hours of playtime. I do not feel compelled to explore the game beyond this, unlike in my playthroughs of the Witcher 3, or other big RPGs like Fallout NV or Oblivion.
Overall, I like the side quests and main story that are offered, but I feel the content is greatly lacking. I was also expecting my choices to have more influence in the world by the way the game was advertised. Your selected character path seems to boil down to dialogue options throughout the game that often have no influence on what you're actually doing.
I'm sure this game slaps once it gets going, but how long should you have to play a game realistically before it gets interesting? 10 hours? 100 hours?
I played for 6 hours before the title screen even came up, and now I still don't really know what's going on!
Cyberpunk is trying to tell a story, but it's telling it in the worst way possible. The graphics are stunning, the world is amazing, but there's a reason movies aren't in first person, it's a terrible way to tell a story. All you can ever hope to see develop is some guy standing too close, talking at you for hours. Just like a visit with grandpa!
Yes the game has bugs, and they will be patched out eventually. But the sad part for CDPR is even once you look past all the hype and controversy, this game is very slow. Boring even.
I still support CDPR for everything they do here with GOG so I won't be refunding. But I don't recommend this game.
Nice early access, CDPR... Now, where is the actual game? Having few good characters and quests doesn't make this game the "inmersive RPG/Open-World" you have advertised. A lifeless city where you can't do anything, choices doesn't matter at all, lifepaths are a joke, AI is disgusting.
