《赛博朋克 2077》

I patiently waited a year, before buying this game which has given it time to be patched reasonably. You play a guy in the near future where Tech has exploded. Now people routinely have all sort of technology shoved into their bodies as easily as taking a pill. You can choose your character from 3 origins, design your look and stats. I found the body/face design quite limited. Sure you can pick the size of your nether regions, but it's a gimmick. Only 2 sizes for boobs, flat and not flat? Really? Pretty sure women have a whole classification of boob sizes. I chose a male with a big dick, (why would I choose small?) and once done I'm off . You'll find yourself in a huge skyscraper world of bustling people. It's amazing to explore around. You can do odd jobs, be a criminal or enforce the Law, fight gangs, drive around. Missions seem endless. Plus there's a looong interesting main storyline through it. You can enhance all your abilities with Tech or focus on physical abilities. On higher difficulties you'll need to really know your tech enhancements as the enemy will use it all against you. There are plenty of weapons from guns to swords. The game is adult. Nudity is all in and there are some other minor sexual aspects too which may offend some. I'm always fine with nudity. There is some gay stuff about which is not for me. It's also quite distopian. Everyone is whatever they want to be, but you can tell no one is happy while huge nanny corporations rule over them. I also like how your responses can be positive or negative. You're not forced into one point of view like some rpgs make the mistake of doing. You can annoy someone by saying "No!" when they think you'd say yes. Pros: Well imagined, great detail. Very good main quest story. Some interesting characters. Cons: Some bugginess still remains. I don't like that my character audibly talks for me. I installed a Silent Protagonist mod off the Nexus. Recommended, but only for adults.

Great game that way ahead of its time. Gamers are spoiled today and they'll find all kinds of excuses to dis this game. But if you're a life long gamer, who hasent seen cyberpunk properly done before, youll love everything this game offers.

Graphics are amazing on highest settings, as long as you have a pc that can run it well. Feels like I'm in a bladerunner movie. The lighting, the smoke and haze of the city, cinematic filter - just stunning. Walking through night city feels like walking through an actual city - bustling streets filled with activity (although there isn't much opportunity for interaction). The story is engaging, and you will care about characters you encounter. I thoroughly enoyed the character side quests, and although the nomad one is my favorite, I felt like the nomad arc had a rushed ending (without getting into spoilers). The main quest was much shorter than I expected - so to get your money's worth, play the sidequests (at least the ones for the main characters you encounter). I didn't encounter too many technical issues that took away from the experience. I have a powerful pc, so the game ran smoothly at highest settings, even with ray tracing turned on. The game still needs polishing. I felt like there were too many awkward pauses in the dialogue. Also, there were issues with people talking over one another or a cell phone conversation happening at same time as an ongoing conversation. My biggest criticism is that this game felt more like a very well done FPS with RPG elements, rather than a true RPG. I did not feel excited about levelling up. There weren't enough cool abilities to invest in, despite there being a ton of skills to choose from. Most skills are aimed at improving the FPS experience, like allowing you to reload while sprinting. I feel like I should get this for free - why make me level up to reload while sprinting? And a lot of skills feel like very marginal improvements, such as 5% damage bonus with specific weapon for 5 seconds only after killing an enemy. That's just lame. I want to shoot lasers from my eyes, stealth takedown multiple enemies etc. Think Deus ex.

This game was announced back in May 2012 and they're still asking 60 buckaroos for it? Patently absurd!
