I love story driven games and this one is perfect for me!
I already miss the voice of Johnny Silverhand commenting my actions.
The story and atmosphere is CDPRs bread and butter, the game has a lot of well written charakters and Night City is oozing out atmosphere where I found myself often driving one of my cars while listening to the radio, instead using fast-travel-points
Graphics are superb!
Guns make a satisfying KAWOOM!
Small sidequests (Gigs) feel reasonable and fitting.
Off course I stumbled upon some bugs and glitches, but nothing gamebreaking and I rarely had to reload.
All in all this game is a diamond, might need some polish but it shines bright already! See you next time V!
Now please excuse me I have to listen to some Samurai...
Cyberpunk is a very ambitioned project.
The Story is very datailled. The maincharacters having deep lifestorys and well written personalitys.
It touched to see fictional persons suffer or getting in love.
The main story line and some of the side quests having effects to
the dramatic final(s) of the game.
The atmosphere is absolutely catching. Noises, neon lights and a bombastic soundtracks.
The player has a lot of options to customize V, the playable character.
Started by different faces and 2+ sexes. And later there are different weapons, cyberware, vehicles etc.
The gameplay is in a lot of scenes challenging. In some fights the doesn`t appologize mistakes of the players.
And there are some weaknesses, too.
Played this games after two Hotfixes:
There are still glitches. Cars stucking in unconvinient moments on small baulks like higher sidewalks.
Sometimes the character dying in glitches like unexpected dropps from low platforms.
And the traffic AI is a dumb as a gravel doorway. NPC- vehicles drive or stucking. They don`t dodging
the player and its vehicles.
Had some angry moments and good laughters , too.
I could say, there could be more options like customization of vehicles,
inegrating more driving action in to the main story or more interaction with the computerterminals.
And comparing it with the GTA- series or roleplaying games as Baldurs Gate - Series.
Or enjoying the great atmosphere and the fantastic story (do I replying?) of a criminal life, threatened
and limited by a deadly peace of tech in its head.
Five stars and a some good laughters on catapulted vehicles.
ps.
Very positive is also, that the game is completly without micro transactions. You get, what you pay for
in the first and also last time.
Look, its honestly become a meme to hate on this game. The honest truth is that this game is amazing, the graphics are amazing the game play is fun and item levels are fine as they are used for progression. it also helps create an environment that isnt stagnate with the same 3 guns.
The gunplay is great for what it is, guns feel solid, they have impact and have intresting abilities like shooting through ANYTHING and homing micro rockets. The ai for the most part is very reactive and will move for cover and push up on you.
the story is great! i see people complaining about how the story comes back together. Thats perfectly ok. that start into is just a backround for your character and opens unique dialog and pathways. where it converges IS the story of V. how you get there and style of gameplay is entirely up to you.
if you look at it all games do this. fallout and elder scrolls, baulders gate series and even the witcher 3 does have story milestones.
The game is not flawless however. there are bugs sure and thats to be expected in such a massive ambitious game. I'd even suggest they are unavoidable. However, ive had next to no issues. Its smooth, with no drops in performance, cars and AI work as expected, animations have been good. several systems in the office are able to play it flawlessly on max settings with both AMD and nvidia offerings.
the controls are at first "clunky" some choices like crouch to skip dialog has run me into issues where i need to duck in cover while someone is explaining something important. Resultuting in missing that info.
The openess of the quests is great with a seemless drop in and out system.
the game has flaws all games do but the honest truth is that it is a great game and i recommend it. People love hating on it the become "cool" to hate it. people read something online about it then repeat the same trash over and over. Its a fun game that will hold you over for hours.
aside from the bugs that have and will keep on getting fixed there are a few things in the game that should be fixed or improved upon to make it absolutely wonderful. the police system as it is currently could use heavy improvements. the civilian ai could also stand for some more improvement. aside from these issues the game is fantastic with everything in the game being wonderful. the graphics are absolutely wonderful and the best out of any game ive seen. the story is amazing too with the only complaint being that lifepaths should influence the story a bit more. combat is quite fun although people should be warned that its an rpg with shooter elements not a shooter with light rpg elements. overall the game is a top of the line rpg game which suffers from poor circumstances. i am excitedly looking forward to the dlcs and expansions to the game which will only improve the game. i can see this game being one of the best rpg games ever in a year or so.
Game runs like a charm on my 6 year old pc, story is breathtaking and so is johny and everyone else in the cast, music is fantastic and so are the graphics, gun play is interesting, and so are the stealth and quick-hacks, been here since release and most if not all bugs have been fixed by now, driving is fantastic since last update|
all in all i think the game is more than great, watching it get worked on since launch i may be abit biased in giving it 5stars, but it actually is really great and i wont give it any less than 4.5/5
