4 stars because my best buddy Jackie dies at the beginning of the game 😭 i mean like come on!!! you don't do that! 😤 now I'm stuck with that stupid Jhonny.... sadly no 3rd person view, which would be absolutely amazing. yes i know about mods but still needs lots of work before can really be played as third person view. playing on ayaneopro med settings.
This has got to be one of the greatest games ever made.. the story, the details, the ability to interact with everything.. its just amazing- best game I have ever played!
Seeing all of the negative reviews really surprises me.. I ran into a few small bugs along the way, but nothing too bad though honestly. (60+ hours played at the time of writing this)
I really feel like I cant even describe just how good this game actually is.. you just gotta play it for your self and see!
Got this game after 1.5 patch. Never played it before, so no idea how bad it used to be. Right now it plays great. Minor issues never distract from the amazing experience. Great story and great characters. Lots of choices and replayability.
Just finished my first playthrough after 56 hours. It was a very, very memorable experience.
Will dive right back in for another adventure.
CP2077 is hardly a single game, it is multiple games packaged into a city sandbox, similar to GTA, but so much more.
Depending on how you play, it can be a quick action grinder, a tactical-stealth shooter, or an RPG version of GTA, and probably a lot more still.
Story is good and interesting, most characters are decent compared to many other games. The environment design is good, most quests, even the basic events = gigs have many solutions.
Music and sound is great, but a little repetitive.
Visually, it is amazing, can easily tell this was meant to make the latest GPU tech sweat, but in exchange the image quality is top tier. The actual first person cam action is fairly smooth at 1080 on a n RTX 3050, but the car play is very demanding, because the camera fills up with a massive scene of the city.
Game elements, crafting gives an alternative to the RNG loot for those who like to run in the most optimal loot, but it can be fully ignored and still enjoy the higher challenge when running slightly weaker items.
Most of the neg. rep. comes from the initial release ( before 1.5 patch) and due to the massive marketing hype. Objectively this is one of the most complex games ever made, and so the bugs are almost impossible to avoid.
The negatives I could mention are mainly the static world, but that would make an already busy game world even harder to navigate to be honest. I would still like a generic "talk" to each food vendor tho.
Car handling could be still a little better, the horn would be nice if it worked on crowds, as it is hard to get out your car from the streets ( to maintain immersion)
Easily worth its full price, 10 times better than most brain-consuming online games, the content and quality beats 99% of the games on the market.
Decent graphics (maxed), nothing like the super cool thing they kept advertising though. Even after all these updates and fuss, the game is still glitchy and poor on so many aspects:
* Inventory management is poor
* Driving experience is terrible
* NPCs are dumb
* Sometimes the character starts shooting at random and can't even turn the head
* Sometimes you get shot across thick, concrete building walls
Luckily I only spent 10 quids on it. Not worth a penny more than that.
