They locked frame generation behind having a 4000 series GTX card, and they locked DLSS Ray Reconstruction behind frame generation, so if you have a 3080 Ti that you paid 1,200$ for last year like me, well you're just screwed, the game will run bad and look bad. Come back when you want to spend another 1,400$ on your PC, loser!
No issues on my end so far, looks great, raytracing really makes the game feel alive, paired with my Hue Sync setup its a lot of fun and flashy lol. Feels good, fps seemed stable, i am running a 9900k and 2080super with raytracing on. Haven't actually looked at my ingame FPS because then its all i think about. played on M+K and controller. Both feel fine. Either way I'm immersed.
My pros after 170 hours :
- the city is a dream come true, a wonder that I'm never tired of admiring (please add taxis & transit system so that we can fully appreciate it in all it's glory) - huge kudos to the artists, for me the city is kinda the main character,
- vibrant hommage to Mike Pondsmith fantastic creativity & world building, I truly hope this franchise will continue, we need more stories in this universe.
- game is very well optimized (played with a GTX1080 since RTX is in short supply),
- solid story telling with brilliant quests and characters, lighting and environments are out of this world too,
- supported by epic soundtrack
My cons :
- some players had bugs at launch, I was lucky to have very few and they are being fixed as time passes,
- some aspects seem rushed/unfinished (transit system, street vendors, NPCs with limited sets of animations, etc.) which can hurt immersion,
- Witcher 3 was criticized for having too much content (it was fine by my standards), for me Cyberpunk 2077 has not enough (activities within the city, cash opportunities, flats to buy, casino, possibilities are endless).
My summary : I can't wait to (re)play Cyberpunk 2077 in 4k to do it justice, this game is a landmark in my book, there will be a before and an after in terms of city design and story telling. Thank you Mr Pondsmith and CDPR Red for bringing this project to the world, I hope it will be (vastly) expanded in the future.
This sense of awe, these pauses to say wow, these long rides under the rain at night, are my way to say thank you my Chooms, you're amazing.
i have played in a long Time. CP2077 mostly fullfills the Visions and Dreams i had when CDPR anounced this Game. There might be alot of Stuff missing and the Game still feels a little lite on Decisions to make, but the overall Presentation, the Graphics, the Sound, the Gameplay.... everything just feels right. And thats why i give 5 Stars, because its a really good Game imo.
But beware: there are still Bugs in the Game. You have been warned. ;)
Got Cyberpunk 2077 for 50% off a year after release and it was a wonderful experience. Shame this masterpiece was plagued with so much drama but these guys clearly love what they do even if it sometimes feels like it's barely held together by duct tape. Occasionally experienced minor glitches but nothing serious. Happy to support CD Projekt and the discount is a fair compromise. Captivating from start to finish.
