v 1.05, technical state of game still bad, language preference on subtitles doesnt persist, broken tranq darts and many more...
But to the thing that piss me off most... WHY THOSE F***ING FORCED PHONECALLS POPUP ONY MY SCREEN 10 TIMES PER MINUTE??? WHY PROJECT RED???
Hate to beying free beta tester for this game...
Despite all the bugs, poor balance, clunky UI, and some broken game systems after 200+ hrs play through the game leaves me in complete awe. The City, the characters, directing, writing, and design are next level. I don't remember ever having such deep and natural relationships with in-game characters or being so lost, in a good sense, in the game world, probably since Morrowind.
The way every single ending path is a unique and coherent story fully fleshed out in terms of actual gameplay and directing is absolutely amazing. Listening to Never Fade Away during credits is a cathartic experience on its own.
HUGE thanks to every person who participated in bringing this game to life, looking forward to your next work (take all the time you need though :))
Despite many frustrating bugs and content that is obviously missing, Cyberpunk 2077 delivers a masterclass in artistry, storytelling, and gameplay. This game contains the best environmental designs you can find in gaming. The detail and art woven into every object of the city is immense. The characters are intricately written, each with their own fascinating motivations, with the player able to dramatically influence the stories of those around them. Actions have long-term, satisfying consequences and the player feels invested in every decision due to how well these characters are written. The stories told in this game are unparalleled in depth, impact, and meaning, exploring impactful, thought-provoking themes such as exploitation, poverty, mental health, existential dread, the definition of consciousness, and the worth of one's humanity.
If you are willing to set aside all the hype, overlook the bugs and lacking features, you will find a game with diverse, satisfying gameplay, a brilliantly crafted story that explores themes few games have dared, and characters and a world that stays with you long after completion. I could not be more excited for what comes next from CDPR and this universe.
After 2 playthroughs, I have to say one if not the best characters in video games, every one of them is different and does not feel like a npc at all. Also story, music and side-characters are top notch. Had a few bugs nothing game-breaking, AI is pretty dump but not dumper than in other RPGs. Perks and leveling up could use some more dev time, as I had 80 hours and still havent reached max in any of the skill. If you are expecting far cry or gta then you will be disappointed, but otherwise it´s a great game with potential to be amazing.
Please remember everyone: so far each major release of CD Project has been a bugfest in the beginning, but everytime they have invested the time and ressources to make their game a great one. Here it will be not different, in the end Cyberpunk 2077 will be a modern classic. If you have the patience, wait for a "Complete" or "Extended" edition, else have fun right away ...I do.
