Can't wait for the sequel!
I'd descibe this game as a cross between Renowned Explorers, and Elder Sign. Fantastic roguelike, with lots of decisions to make. Quite a few random elements, but well worth the price of admission.

Fun, addictive, challenging
Suprisingly fun and addictive game, remembered me the good old days. I found it very well balanced, and really enjoyed the fight system. It's an indie game, so don't expect days of gameplay, but with the different characters/playing styles it brings some replay value. (I only competed once, so far.) The saving system was broken in my Linux version, so I had to manually copy save files. Oh, and very good music, and nice artwork. :)

Not alot of fun.
It lacks alot. And I mean alot. Expeditions go by so fast, it feels like walking around the block. So in depth exploring, which is what I bought the game for, is not present. You will find yourself constantly running out of sanity and sanity giving items even on the easiest level. Its unrewarding, short, and 100% not what I was expecting. Any game that has exploring, should not take so little time. Depending on your luck, you can find the first Golden pyramids within the first 5 minutes on the map. The scope of the game is very small. And yet you will have problems being able to move around without going crazy and failing your mission. This is exactly how you shouldn't do an exploring game. I regret this purchase.

National Geographic style adventure
I was looking for a turn-based game that I could play casually to take a 15 minute break from time to time. This game hit the sweet spot. It's fun, a bit silly, and challenging without being annoying. I'd like to see a bit more variety in the encounters and strategic thinking in the gameplay, but for what it is, it's excellent. Playing a game about colonialist exploitation feels a bit naughty, but there's a subtle critique of the 19th/early 20th century exploration adventures hiding behind the bravado. Highly recommended for fans of a cross between Spelunky and the Oregon Trail.

Very charming
I really like this game. It is lovingly crafted, and I like the art style. It becomes a bit repetitive after a couple of hours, since the places and choices you encounter are pretty varied but still within what is expected from an indie game. Still, the characters you can choose from offer enough variety in how you can approach the game to keep you engaged after many playthroughs.
