This is a special world, inhabited by the amazing virtual life forms known as Norns. These cuddly little creatures have their own Digital DNA, brains and biochemistry. They learn and think for themselves but they need you to love them, care for them and play with them. The adventure starts the moment you hatch your first baby Norn in the Nestery and begin to explore the giant Creatures Village world with them. Do you dare walk through the spooky forest? Or would you like to fly through Cloud Land in a magical sky boat? Perhaps your Norns fancy a day out at the fair where they can ride the big wheel and eat hot dogs and candy floss until they burst! Screen saver
I was very curious, since this seemed to be more of a game for children age 3 to 6, but the reviews usually been exceptional, i got this one because it was the first of the series. My criticism starts with the fact that there is no tutorial, or in-game help, but then there isn't to much to know or to do actually, you are supposed to teach your little guys and raise them, but that's where my criticism starts, they do everything on their own. After i hatched and named them, they gone straight out in the garden, munched apples, played some and fell asleep. I really tried to show them 1 or 2 things, which worked, but in the end it was pretty much pointless. The manual said they live about 5 hours before they die, i guess it may get more interesting as the game progresses over multiple generations, but i can't see where i am supposed to come in, and to be honest, i don't want to invest 5 hours looking at what is basically a screen saver till something interesting happens. I see some good opinions from people that knew these from when they been little, but a look in the forum reveals that others feel the same as i do - not only concerning this game, but also the others in this series. I give it a 2/5 because it really is exceptionally cute, and watching the little guys is fun for a little while, but to me it just isn't a game. If you loved it as a child - go on and get it, it may do it for you, if that's your first time as it was for me, please be aware that there isn't to much to do.

Simply not good.
Poor and jarring graphics, bizarre interface, total lack of intuition, no tutorial to sub for intuition, unrewarding, boring, and apparently pointless. My first GOG purchase I've sincerely regretted.
