- 即时战略：一开始你可以找到基本工具和物品的配方，先建造一座带有卧室和厨房的小房子。随着部落规模的扩大，引来了其他种族的注意。它们大部分是夜行生物，居住在地下。游戏世界中有很多奇幻生物，比如僵尸、骷髅、地精、眼魔、幽灵、巨型蜘蛛等等。对于有些生物来说，只要矮人不出现在视线里，它们就一点也不关心。但另外一些就会聚集起庞大的数量，试图闯入矮人的基地。
- 塔防：游戏中经常会有大波怪物通过传送门出现。因此，不要忘记建造一座拥有坚固城墙的城堡，再布下无数机关、喷火塔以及秘密通道。
- 魔法：作为神明，你拥有各种法术。你可以加快矮人的移动速度、打开小型传送门、照亮黑暗洞穴，吓走怪物，召唤自然法术实现降雨或加速树木生长，朝怪物发射火球，找到有用的资源和隐匿的地下密室，从而加快矮人收集资源、探索世界以及繁衍人口的速度。

Addictive - can't stop playing...(GOTTA go to bed now though)
An addictive game for intelligent people who are interested in figuring out what the world is through game play. A slow climb from nothing to uber! I've sunk 20+ hours into this game, and only just gotten to level 3. The Each level comes with new stuff to discover, but the old stuff you've already learned remains useful. Game designers! Ya'll need to work on the AI. You developed some STUPID dwarves! (But, this adds to the challenge, and a clever player - if you're clever - discovers and implements workarounds.) I love this game. Sorta Minecraft, sorta Terraria, sorta Dwarf Fortress, but none of the above. It is its own, but in the same genre as those others. I don't usually post reviews. Not a big believer in them - and yet, here I am, handing out 5 stars. Oh, the game is clean. Nothing a parent would need to worry about (unless killing periodic sheep and chickens is offensive. They don't fight back.)
