Unplayable on GOG

The game itself is amazing and highly recommendable. But GOG has failed to address the oldest issue with running this game on newer systems. The boarding combat is completely unplayable because your screen jets from one side to the other. The only way to circumvent this issue is to run the game through DOSBox. And if you have a win64 system, well...then you're out of luck because you can't manually install the game via DOSBox in win32 because you have to install it through GOG.

Nice game with the most fun gameplay

The game is quite nice, I wish the boarding screen sensitivity issue could be fixed. You can save often to minimize losses in crushes but you cannot find a solution to sensitivity of moving in the boarding screen. too sad.

Crash

It might be your best pirate experience

Personally, I think the best pirate game is Pirates! Gold. However Corsairs have a different boarding mechanics (crew battle instead of a duel), it gives player an impact on strength of his faction - by upgrading fortresses, and has a light, casual feel, making it better than Port Royale in my opinion.
