A solid monster catcher
It's basically what you're expecting it to be: A Pokemon Clone. It has some decent quality of life improvements and the creature designs are pretty cool so far. I'm enjoying it for what it is.

Give it a chance
Look past the name and you'll find a surprisingly charming and very well designed game. The easiest way to describe it is "Imagine if Pokemon stayed on the GBA for a gen and they just refined what was possible with the mechanics they had" - go into it as fresh and spoiler-free as possible and discover something odd you never knew you loved.
