The game feels like it’s meant for those who miss the GBA-era glory days, and it may just satisfy if these particular limiting factors can be overlooked. And, with all that said, it’s certainly a step in the right direction when looking toward the future of a genre that’s more or less being monopolized by Pokemon.

Fun alternative Monster Tamer
Monster collector/trainer without a lot of the fluff from the mainstream titles. Stats are completely customized by the player, shiny Coromon are also the strongest - not too difficult to farm. Humor is cute if a bit cringe at times.

What I wish pokemon was
This is the game pokemon could have become. It's different enough from previous iterations of monster collecting games to be interesting and has all the quality of life improvements I could want. Lovely game.
