Beautiful art and shaders. Gameplay has lots of fun and interesting systems that just work so well. Would reccomend if you like games like necesse, terraria and starbound
The biggest problem right now is Crossplay is busted with the GOG version of the game when trying to connect to dedicated servers, which are only procurable via Steam.
A fantastic co-operative sandbox adventure game!
My family and friends have been having a blast so far - although less than 10 hours of playtime - with all the exploration, farming, combat, and crafting.
There's a lot to experience. Combat is cute and varied - sword-swinging, magic-casting, and minion-summoning are all here. Simple farming of plants and animals gives you a sense of satisfaction in staving off starvation. Base-building with traps, fortifications, and decorations scratches that itch for creativity.
There's a ton of attention to detail throughout the game - little graphical flourishes that add impact to each animation, quality-of-life/ease of controls for inventory management, wonderful dynamic particles and lighting effects despite the "low-resolution"/pixel art style; and many more details that we haven't experienced yet.
I do have one knock against the game so far - multiplayer REQUIRES an internet connection. Joining/connecting to another player is not possible via direct IP, nor any kind of LAN discovery function. The game uses some sort of external service over the internet for players to find each other, and provides no other method of finding a host.
This meant that when my familys' ISP was performing maintenance in our neighborhood and we lost connection to the internet, playing multiplayer mode was not an option; despite us being under the same roof and all on a LAN. This also makes multiplayer a no-go on airplanes, long car rides, downtime at hotels/airports/etc. (if they have a slow or restrictive internet connection).
Despite the lack of LAN and/or local co-op capability, the game is still fun.
