for all those die hard (and not so die hard) fans, give this gem a try. forget good looks; this game is serious fighting and a pure joy to play and appreciate as the AI is great and thanks to immense sources of mods and easy to set up scenarios you can create, infinite replay value. oh and the "looks" part? easily redone with a great set of mods that 'good ol' games" has included :))) beyond this, i won't comment as volumes has been spoken about this game already. Enjoy!

One of the best out there...

Ignore clunky graphics...as the manual says, this is NOT a video game. This is simulation of tactical battles of world war 2. Once you realize this, there is literally hundreds of hours of game play...a must buy for a wargamer.

Melee at Marve

This one scenario provided the single greatest gaming experience of my life. After 15 hours of this game and I was certain that all other games just weren't that much fun(they are, but for a time I didn't think so). If you like it, then you probably love it.

Back again

I remember getting this game when it came out. Played it a lot and did a lot of pbem and online games. The community was really active back then. Played in some tournaments had a lot fun. Lost my disks a while back and of course now most PCs don't even come with CD disk drives anymore. So it was quite a surprise to see all three of the original titles on GoG for under a fiver. So I bought them all. The graphics a basic, but they were considered basic 20 yrs ago. But the gameplay still holds up. Next to steelpanthers, this is still my favorite wargame on PC.

Love this game

This game intimidated me when I was a teen. IMO the best way to learn to play is TCP/IP with a friend, on the smallest possible map/points, with all-random units.
