If you want to have fun eating people then this is a game for you, controls are fine and smooth haven't had any issues. sometimes pulling on levers is a bit hazzle but its manageable. good game would eat more people again.
Movement is fun, grabbing people and consuming them for their mass is satisfying, throwing things, sneaking up on unsuspecting victims, catching them in cobwebs when small or straight smashing through them while big, this game starts simple and straightforward, but adds complexity and fun mechanics later on. Definitely a recommended 5 out of 5 stars!
You're a horrible monster that eats humans to recover health, but you're not invincible. The humans can and will fight back. If you go for 100% completion, you might find the game less fun - Backtracking is necessary for a few optional hidden items, but if you ignore the secret items then you can play the game like it's linear. Which is good, because there's no map and trying to play Carrion like a Metroid game will get you very lost.
It's a little short, I got through in about 6 or 7 hours. This is fine though, because the horror is less shocking as you get closer to the end. In other words, the game doesn't overstay its welcome.
A great game ! The music is on point, the gameplay is fluid and the art is well done. I liked the desing of the monster. Progressing in the game you will unlock more abilities fun (and bloody). Basically you try to get out the facility you're in by killing everybody and solving puzzle. It's a skillfull mix between horror game and metroidvania.
I liked the story but i was hoping for more, i look forward a sequel ! Also, but i suppose it was intentional by the dev, it's such a maze in there that i lost myself several time trying to unlock every abilities or finding the next zone.
A must play if you like the metroidvania style and don't mind blood.
