One of the rare kind
Well, I have to say, I enjoyed it. Finally managed to finish it yesterday. I did remember a bit about the story and setting, since I played this game almost a decade ago, but for whatever reason I didn't got to the end. Yes, there are some frustrating parts (like the climbing tp the mountain, where you need to find some eagle's feather), but mostly the gameplay is fun. The gameplay is fine, eventually you will get used to the whip. First it seems very akward. But than somehow you master is. Afterall, Billy Candle is slowly becoming a man ;) The graphics are still very nice, especially on modern computers, where it works flawlessly on full HD, widescreen, at least 60 Hz and DX10 mode. Worth at least one playtrough.
