To be honest, it bored me

Fun in short bursts, but if you're playing by yourself, it gets old quickly. Like others here, your success will depend upon who you're playing as. Some characters are melee only which can make boss fights far more difficult. You need to learn how to play with a variety of different loadouts because every time you rescue someone you will be playing as someone else. Frankly, a lot of the difficulty of the game felt like it came from cheap shots and after a you've done it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, the charm of the game wears off and you're just asking yourself why you're bothering.

Broforce Linux Mint 17 review

Played on Linux Mint 17.3 64 bit, using a Logitech F310 set to XInput. PROS: + Fast and fluid action. + Character/weapon variety. + Fully destructible stages, allowing for alternate routes to objectives. + Characters' corresponding weapons encourage a bit of strategy to complete stages. + Tons of unlockables. + Fun in both single player and multiplayer. + Big open world, allowing retreading of beaten stages. + Windows, Mac, and Linux versions included. + Gamepad (XInput) support. CONS: - Linux version on Humble Store (DRM-free) has lower hardware requirements than the Linux version on GOG. *Linux version of Broforce on Humble Store can run on 4GB of RAM and a Nvidia 3100M. Linux version on GOG? 8GB RAM and Nvidia GT 720.

Great game

First time I played Broforce it was beta version. But this is totaly new dimension of play coop on one computer. Lots of games are online and multi, but this is other 4 players on one computer is exception of game-shooting.

Such a very great game, but...

This game is very entertaining, the levels, the characters, the weapons, the funny sprites (the bomb guys :D!), the art and the music... is very clever and great. The bosses are a really pain, you can't just shot everywhere, kill everyone in there, and the randomizing of the characters when we play add very difficultity to the gameplay. But the last update screws up... some sprites are missing, the gameplay just slowdown, no music... please update it because is a very very great game since Metal Slug, very recomended.. and the multiplayer is the best!!...

Metal Slug successor

Linux Gamer - Ubuntu Mate 16.04.3 64 Bit - Played on Gaming Desktop and Gaming Laptop with 1 to 4 players using Logitech F310 Wired Gamepads. This game is awesome. The gameplay is fast and very simple yet because the world can be deformed you will run into some complications that just add some spice to the action shooter platformer. The local multiplayer is where this game shines, I've not used the online mutiplayer @ all. You and some friends will enjoy this game even on large screens from the couch. If I had to add one con to this game it would be the 3D map world you navigate via helicopter to deploy your bros. The game is 2D but this portion is 3D and it pulls me out of the game sometimes. It's not 100% bad it's just odd. Would have love to see the 2D version of this map screen. I'm huge fan of the Metal Slug series and I still play them via the Linux Humble Bundle releases awhile back with friends and family and this game feels like a successor in many way while being it's own thing.
