Funny game ruined for absurd bosses
if a boss kills you.. and you used the ammo and potions in an attempt to beat him.. you lose EVERYTHING.. forcing yourself to do it all over again.. absurd..

Easy (-er) as you learn
At first you will die, horribly, repeatedly, to the weakest enemy. You will get debuffs that stack, and you can easily screw your game up if you die too much. HOWEVER, you can go to the goat-skull totem and get challenges (shoot X monsters in head, kill while stealth, etc.) to remove these debuffs. DO THEM IMMEDIATELY, because if you die while sneaking, your "curse" will reduce your sneaking ability AND the challenge will possibly be... kill enemies while sneaking. Later on you will get access to simply buying potions which remove all debuffs, allowing you to pretty much die at will with no real downside. Secondly, and listen well - this is NOT A SHOOTER. This game is much more like Thief - you run-n-gun, you're toast. Truly, honestly, more-carbon-than-carbs-left, horridly burnt toast. Third, CONSERVE YOUR SILVER AMMO. Ethereal enemies (glow blue in general, but not always) usually are immune to EVERYTHING except silver (or gold) ammo. In Chapter 2, Wights (ghostly gunfighters) will eat your lunch without silver ammo. In Chapter 3, Boo Hags (flayed monster women) require incendiary ammo to kill, and ghostly warriors only die to silver ammo. Fourth, once you get to a safe area with a chest, you have UNLIMITED SPACE INSIDE. Store literally EVERYTHING you think you may need later - it is much more expensive (around 2.5-3 times) to buy items from a store than to use what you find. Later you will be swimming in gold as you can sell monster body parts, and will have plenty. If you want a stealth RPG shooter which is like a voxel Outlaws with eldritch horror, this is the game for you. WARNING: 1 star docked because no New Game Plus!!!! Hopefully this will be added in soon, because this game desperately needs it! First playthrough with exploration and about 95% of items took me 50 hours. Second playthrough is ~5 hours from speedruns. No more mystery, and without NG+ you can't kill all the monster that annoyed you earlier with your new items.

That was one of those games that really sucked me in. At first I found it hard as I've expected boomer FPS... then I really loved how this stealth part kicked in. Highly recommended!

Good old sneaking
One of the best games in a while, has some Thief- (the old one!!) and System Shock-vibes. Loving it.
