Fantastic game, one of the greatest FPS.

In my opinion, this ranks as one of the greatest FPS games that I have ever played. Satisfying gunplay, you really feel the impact of your shots. The weapons are fun. The atmosphere is quite palpable, especially if you enjoy campy horror and satires. The protagonist has some great one-liners. If you've enjoyed Doom and especially Duke Nukem 3d, or any of these boomer shooters, please play this game. It's worth your time. A great Build engine game. The only thing that sucks is our usual enemy: hitscanners. Hate 'em. And like usual, keyhunting may be a bit tedious, but I didn't think that it was so bad. You owe it to yourself to play this game if you enjoy any sort of FPS.

Excellent upgrade

Blood: Fresh Supply is a delicious version of Blood: One Unit Whole. While the original version, WHICH IS ALSO INCLUDED AS A GOODIE, runs on MS-DOS via DOSBOX, this release is self-contained in a shiny new engine with a whole bunch of polish, new graphical settings and the gameplay is unchanged! This is the original Blood you know and love, but for modern hardware. For the price, especially since at the time it's 50% off, it's well worth the price. And again, you get the original DOS version for free, included.

After all these years, still relevant

Blood is one of those games that really stands through the test of time. For starters, this game was even the reason for me to join GoG, in the first place (and it's was a good thing 'cause it introduced me to a world of incredible games that I would eventually add to my library). Even the old version remais very playable today, but Fresh Supply surpaces the boundaries and makes this awesome title even more reachable to players that have some difficulty in embracing old technology. Back to the game, everything that made it great in it's original release is still here: Lots of blood (as the title already sugests), cheesy and clever lines, inventive and overpowered weapons, lots of action, secrets, easter eggs and gruesome enemies. Do yourself a favor and grab this game. You won't regret it. Blood lives... again!

Little ado about Blood

Civvie 11 pointed out a number of things in Fresh Supply that differed from the original, and Nightdive was quick to put out a patch that adjusted and fixed a large number of things. The game, before this patch, was perfectly playable outside of crashing when switching renderers. Had you never played Blood by any other means, it would seem totally fine to you, so in that sense the game was mostly just dandy. I avoided it initially because I didn't want my first experience with Blood to be drastically different from the original, but I bought it immediately upon seeing that it had been patched. I believe it's still not identical to the original Blood, but it's far far closer now. I bought it just to say that I'm happy that the devs were quick on the draw to address criticism and fix the issues brought to light. A handful more tweaks and I imagine anyone would be on board for this being the definitive way to play, and for that the game deserves a purchase and a lovely warm review.

A True Classic

If you're a fan of 90s FPS you should definitely pick this up. The port has been patched and is quite faithful to the DOS version. This includes all the expansions along with online multiplayer. It works great, looks great and most importantly is a quintessential 90s FPS.
