An absolute gem of a game, from the bygone era of boomer shooters. Tough as nails for neophytes, but very rewarding if you play conservatively (watch ammo and health all of the time on harder difficulties). A+++
When I've tried this game in the past I never really got further than the first level. Maybe not even halfway through. I was immediately turned off by the difficulty. The game has a retro gory immature vibe to it that hides a lot of neat touches. The levels are really well designed and though the enemies and weapons aren't very interesting, the way that you progress is very interesting. The dynamite and flare guns create unique opportunities for clearing a room, but you have to be very careful how you use them. I would consider this an environmental puzzle survival game with how you have to conserve your ammo. Lots of fun if you're willing to do a lot of save scumming on the higher difficulties.
