Classic for a reason, even for newcomers

I didn't play this game til 20 years later. It's still up there with the best of the build games easily. That said, it is very hard. If you aren't up to it, especially given many of us aren't 20 anymore (lol) there's no shame playing on Pink on the Inside or something. I tried originally on Well Done I think it was. Brutal. I am not that good anymore nor did I know the game enough lol. Either way, the aesthetic and level design alone gives Blood it's legendary status, let alone what is done with the Build engine, Caleb and his VA, etc. BuildGDX is a good alternative, especially now that we are getting another Remake/Remaster rather than Fresh Supply which is more a modern re-release with an updated engine for widescreen. The upcoming Re-Fresh Supply does more, though it is a bummer having to buy a (third?) version of the game in a few years lol

An excellent upgrade

Nightdive did a great job on bringing this classic fps to the modern day. The controls have been update to feel more responsive and the mouse aiming is so much improved. They also added many new options to how you play the game such as difficulty changes and the ability to change how the mouse is interpreted. Also really like the graphical changes such as AA that make the game easier on my eyes and the ability to change the FOV level. The game also supports multiple high resolutions with high frame rate. Killing the cultists has never been as much fun!

do not purchase, Avoid, play ports like Blood GDX, shame they release the remaster in this state has of this time they dont deserve your money

Worth Every Penny

This port slicks everything up real nice, takes only a little tweaking to set the controls and mouse as you wish, and plays like a dream. They fixed some things and added features that make sense and work nice. Before this port it took so much tweaking to get the resolution and mouse support with the older version. The save/load bug that affected the game difficulty (on the steam, and maybe original version) appears to be fixed too. I can't figure out how to set the original midi music which is my only real complaint. Turning off "CD" music in-game just seems to run a cd version of the midi soundtrack. It's playing buttery smooth, sounds good, and feels good. I do have some crashes with the custom difficulty setting, but the original difficulties work properly now. Nightdive is just phenomenal.
