Standard version is great, I unfortunately did not trust the comments regarding how pitiful this so-called remaster was, because I did not care if the graphics were ugly.
Now this is hardly playable. Shooting is bugged, and not merely the training session. I wont spoil but killing a NPC in cold blood when trying to save him is much more frustrating than just McCoy refusing to shoot in the training range.
Having to reload a save and cross your fingers because scripts dont start or a character is endlessly running at the same place is a pain.
Videos glitching and stuttering shames even the worst players I have ever seen.
Now do I give up and restart from scratch on the original version or do I try again not to be stuck on the roof when chasing *** ?
Don't face the same dilemna. Play the original version. This one is a disgrace.
So GOG removed my first review of this so called "Enhanced Edition" because it "doesn't meet the guidelines of a review". But they couldn't explain were I violated these guidelines. I was politly explaining my disappointment about the "Enhanced Edition", it's missing features, bad graphics and broken mechanics - maybe a bit to short in my frustration.
So to get into more detail: my first view of this game at the Runciter scene: blurry cut scenes, pixeled characters ... I couldn't see any improvement. In contrary it looked worse! There's only English voice over included in this version despite the original supported different languages. They ruined the KIA menu with missing transistions and missing translations. And than free character movement didn't work - which seems to be a bug in the first scene only. I was so disappointed that I deinstalled the game and got a refund for the Enhanced Edition.
For a detailed review of this total mess, please read the articles on e.g. PC Gamer etc.
And to be constructive:
If you never played Blade Runner before, buy this game but play the classic ScummVM version which is included. If you allready own the classic version, skip this "Enhanced Edition" and stick to the ScummVM version.
I was already playing the original on GOG and this enhanced edition doesn't do much but making things worse. As the game is played with a 4:3 resolution, they filled the black parts of the screen with an image that kills the immersion. Moreover, even if they remade some things, we obtain from that a very curious mix between retro elements and recent ones.
On the whole, you GOG users should really stick to the original version, true atmosphere guarenteed !
I know the original is included, but I refuse to support this version that's blurred, buggy, languages removed, etc. In fact, I don't support removal of buying the original separately *ever*. It's just a way for a remake (poor or not) to piggyback off the original game.
Since the original was removed, look at this link (the most recent archive of the original) for reviews of a good game:

remake, where only prerendered backgrounds are blured, and thats all.... now, everything else is hurting your eyes and screaming from scene, where its not merging with backgrounds... rly rly bad
