Blade Runner

In 1997 Westwood Studios released a title that won universal praise from gamers and critics all around the world, along with accolades like AIAS’s Adventure Game of the Year award. Set in the same time and universe as the 1982 classic science fiction film by Ridley Scott, Blade Runner video game is now making a big comeback on modern computers.
In the game, you take the role of detective Ray McCoy. Armed with your investigative skills and tools of the Blade Runner trade, you must roam the dark, rainy streets of Los Angeles A.D. 2019 in pursuit of androids gone rogue. Searching for those so-called replicants is a tough nut to crack because they look and behave almost exactly like real people. Faced with growing moral dilemmas, McCoy will soon have to answer questions about his own humanity.

Wish I'd played this back in the day!
First time playing, Loved blade runner for years, never knew about this game until recently. Wish I'd played it back when it first came out, but it's still really atmospheric and the story is told really well. Little janky in some places, but I choose to view it as part of it's charm.

EE version is bundled with the original
5/5 for the original; and the EE version - that comes WITH the original - is more often on sale than the standalone original Blade Runner. Right now - the EE package is sold at EUR 2.89, vs. Eur 8.29 for just the original Blade Runner. quick mafs

A true jewel
Honestly, this game marked me when it came out and now that i am playing it again i am surprised about how good it really was. Yes, graphics are outdated, but gameplay is great and it's a real jewel if you like graphic adventures. Plus, it has an incredible scifi background based on a great film and an even better novel. Also, there are multiple endings (or at least i remember there was) depending on how you act so replaying it is a must if you want to discover everything Hope one day we can get a new version wich honors this game. But, until then, this is a magnificent game that must not be forgotten

Simply Brilliant
I played this game when it first game out, many years ago. And replaying it on GOG is such a treat. The graphics are rough of course, and if you did not play the original that may be a struggle to overcome. But if you enjoy older games, this one is golden. Obviously based on the original movie, and set parallel to the timeline of that classic, this game revisits many of the locations of the film, while you try to solve a seperate crime as a new Blade Runner. Multiple voice actors reprise their roles from the original film, and the setting, tone, lighting, etc. all create an ambience and atmosphere that is rarely seen in mid-90s games. I loved this one. I hope you do as well.
