Fairly true to tabletop, but can be easily modded for those who want an even more faithful implementation.

Fantastic Game - Runs great on SteamDeck
It's like chess, but way more awesome with giant freaking robots blasting each other! You can get really punished quickly if you overextend yourself, or push you people too far. Heat management and positioning are key. It's amazing how well the Mechwarrior games translate to the turn based setup. I've never played Battletech table top, so maybe it perfectly fits with that.
