Please note:
3rd party Paradox account is needed to challenge other players in 1v1 multiplayer matches and to redeem unlock codes for Kickstarter Backer or Pre-Order DLC. Bonus decorations and emblems require online connection in order to be appliable.
Ridicously overtuned missions (even with the easiest difficulty setting) alternated to ridicously easy ones ruin the game immersion. It seems there is no SP mission balance.
The content of the game looks to be a well designed, interesting and pleasant to play. Why such score then? It is no game after you buy it. Haven't seen so many technical issues in a production in a good ten years. No sound in cutscenes, YOU CAN'T SAVE THE GAME AT ALL, Your saves can disapear randomly, you can't exit the game cause it freezes every time and opens itself above any program that could shut it down forcing you to loging out or force shuting your system. Those are the bugs and issues I experienced in a prologue...
I dread to think how many more would apear during whole gameplay span. Issues are known cause threads about them are circling in internet from 6-4 years ago and no definitife answers whatsoever. "Try this, try that, it may be it" Usualy poor excuse in a style of "It's definitly the heath of your hardware!" and nothing that helps resolve the weird and game breaking problems. If developer can't be bothered to fix their product for 5 years at least, they don't deserve your money. Right now you are buying cool content that in practice you cannot access after you give them your cash. Fix your game Paradox, this is shameful.
While i'm a huge fan of tactical turn based games AND mechs, i couldn't enjoy this game. From the very first seconds you encounter unbelievably cringeworthy writing, lazy and boring character creation, political pandering (yes dear gamer, you choose a "preferred pronoun", because that's what games are about these days) and absolutely mediocre at best campaign design. And no, the game itself isn't amazing enough to carry all that baggage. Add to that the not-so-drm-free nature of the game, preorder incentives and such, and you get a product that might not be worth your time.
If you can get over all of that, it's probably an ok game, but otherwise i wouldn't recommend it.
got it from G2A for Steam for 15€. And that would have been a lot of Gog from Gog.
As many write, freeze, broken, slow, clunky.
It has a good graficx from UnityEngine but it does not run fluent.
Read my thread "RTFM ...." if you have also too much time to waste....
Nothing to waste here till you see a Battletech "Reloaded" version anywhere ...
