Pretty good, brings back a lot of mechwarrior and battletech nostolgia. Missing some of my favorite mechs due to liscensing issues, but I can't hold that against it. Story is alright, so far nothing amazing. Gameplay is great, really addictive one more turn action. Load times are borderline annoying, I got spoiled with my SSD but this game still loads slow. I've had a few crashes to desktop while alt-tabbing during loading screens. No fullscreen-windowed mode, just fullscreen and windowed. Gameplay itself is smooth. Decent game, looking forward to playing more of it.

Tons of fun, needs optimization

I wish GoG had more stars to rank. In it's current state I'd give it a 3.5-3.75. I have about 6 hours so far in the game. It's everything I wanted out of a Battletech game. Customization, mechs, explosions, lucky crits, lucky crits against me etc. I enjoy the turn based combat, allows me to analyze each turn and use each mech/pilot to their strengths. I enjoy the art style in the cinematics as well. Con: Poor optimization. This game badly needs it. What has annoyed me the most have been long load times and jittery round transitions in missions. If it ends up being better optimized, I'd give it a solid 4.5

good game w/ the potential to be awesome

Finally we've got another mech game and to make it event sweater it's turn based and has some nice management features:) the graphics aren't overwhelming and the multiplayer it kind of....'uhm simple!? There's still lots of unused potential. i hope paradox won't apply it's dlc policy to this game If u like mech games and had fun with xCom u should probably try this one;)

For fans old and new...

As a fan of Battletech tabletop game and MechWarrior series, this was a must-buy for me. The game provides suitable tactical experience, equipment management and enjoable single-player story. The graphics and controls are ok, just took me a bit of time to find out about weapon/melee fight selection, so I alpha-striked quite a lot during the first mission. On the low side, there were quite a lot of loading screens - before each mission story and before the mission itself, which I found a bit annoying and sometimes I had trouble to spot the enemies, but all-in-all the game was well-worth the buy and I hope to try multiplayer, as well.
