Turn-based robot stomping done right
It's a solid turn based strategy, if you enjoyed X-com it's not too far off from that only with large robots. The only minor issue anyone can complain about is loading times, which I would venture a guess that patches over time will resolve that. The play time itself is challenging and enjoyable, so if you're a fan of turn based this will easily win you over!

This is excellent
Remember, back in the day, when Mech Commander was your go-to mech strategy title? Remember when Battletech was still a relevant thing? Well, this game just brought both of those back. The game itself plays like a cross between the managing a mercenary company aspect of the old Mechwarrior Mercenaries games(only it's far, far more detailed and in depth here) and a turn based, tactical combat game that feels something like Mech Commander and Xcom had a kid that was really smart. All the old Battletech stuff is here. Heat curves, PPCs, critical hits, called shots. This is not an action game. If you want fast mechs go play Hawken or MWO. If you want a super deep strategy game with a super well done tactical game integrated with it, and a nice icing of surprisingly well done cutscenes and story, well, this is the real deal. Battletech is back.

good game so dont listen to the trolls.
Not sure why everyone else is complaining about the game. I kickstarted this game and have found no real problems with gameplay or with support for issues during beta ( I've had no problems at all since the final release ). it's an enjoyable game that's a little limited on mech selection but otherwise it plays well and has a good storyline. I have played BattleTech since it was a tabletop game and I must say while this isn't the best game in the BattleTech universe it also isn't the worst.

Great strategy game
Just completed the main stry, overall it is a great strategy game with a lot of depth and complexity. It got a little easy towards the end as winning strategies became clear, but the entertaining storyline kept me engaged. I never experienced any bugs, but there was a little bit of game slowdown in the very late missions, I'm unsure why. The one small caveat I have is that the individual missions were slow to complete due to delays in movements of my mechs and those of the AI, but I found some instructions online about easy ways to speed it up. Those changes solved it.

Great Game!
This game is GREAT! love the turn based tactical nature and how it is a translation from the tabletop game of old. I have over 60 hours of playtime with no crashes and am looking forward to the new update coming that will support wide screen resolution. Also, the next update has some optimization and tweaks to game play that will make this even better. If you like Battletech (like MechCommander) you should like this game as well.
