Very Solid Batman Title

Interesting Telltale game in the Batman universe. The story is quite unique and engaging and has some interesting turns of events regarding both Bruce and Batman. Performance-wise, the game ran like a charm without any bugs during the 9-hour duration to complete the game. I like the fact that the saves can be imported in the second part of the game, The Enemy Within, and I can continue the story with the choices that I made in the first game. A really nice game, and I recommend it to all the people who like story-driven games with QTE events. A game worth 7/10 as a grade from my perspective.

It doesent feels finished!

The game feels unfinished, weird and its story is one of the worst telltale storys i have ever played. I also lost my savegames and my controller isnt working anymore since Episode 4. I wont finish the game and i am not sad about it. No one needed this game, its just another Bruce Wayne Story, there are a few good ideas, but all the good ideas are delivered badly. Please do something cool again telltale, im tired of "always the same" and buggy products.

The Worst of Telltale is barely average

While Telltale's games have steadily gone from good to better over every installment (having played Walking Dead s1, s2, Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands), this is a bit of a low mark for the studio. While the writing is interesting, spinning a compelling story from old material, many of of the gameplay elements, such as they are in a Telltale title, made me loudly groan in displeasure. The animations are occasionally wonky. Some of the characterizations were sup-bar. And perhaps worst of all, the choices I made were sometimes inconsequential. And not just in the cruel twist of fate kind of way, driving home the point that some choices don't matter. The game actually ignored some of my larger plot decisions. It usually happened in recaps, but I know of at least one occurrence where dialogue went rogue, accusing me of a decision that I had never made. All in all, I cannot recommend this title. I love Telltale's work, but this is not their finest hour. Not by far. Seeing as the studio usually holds themselves to a very high standard, I suspect that the license holder (Warner Brothers) were pushing for a release before the product was ready for it. It'd suit their modus operandi far better than that Telltale wouldn't care about releasing a polished product.

Unplayable due to framerate drops

Every few seconds the game freezes for roughly a second. This makes it unenjoyable to me.

Interesting take on Batman story

Batman – The Telltale Series is probably the best version of the Batman story I've experienced in any media: the multiple plot twists, tragic villains you feel sorry for and the exploration of the thin line between good and evil are really what makes the game stand out. To complement the gripping plot, the game has a top-notch soundtrack by Telltale's composer, Jared Emerson-Johnson and there are even some minor tweaks to the gameplay thanks to the new crime scene investigation and attack plan segments. Unfortunately, the game does suffer from what every Telltale adventure I've played since The Walking Dead suffers from which includes laggy animations, lip-synching issues and audio issues. If the game were better polished, it would've received a higher score but even in its current state, I would still recommend it.
