I have 50 hours into the game. I am in the middle of Act 2. So far, this game is a masterpiece. They don't make CRPG's like this anymore. Larian clearly learned a lot making Original Sin 1 and 2. I think this is one of those games that benefited a lot from it's early access phase. If you have even a passing interest in story driven tactical RPG's, then you owe it to yourself to play Baldur's Gate 3, a game that will likely win a lot of people's "Game of the Year" for 2023.
If you are even only remotely interested in RPGs, you will enjoy Baldur's Gate 3. The quality and size of the world is epic, the caracters are superbly written and the story keeps you hooked and wanting for more. This is one of the few games I'd even accept a price tag beyond 60€, because you can literally feel the love and labor poured into this game at every turn you take.

Baldurs Gate 3 is basically the pinnacle, the evolutionary peak of the classic computer Role Playing Game since the late 1980s.
To go beyond the narrative choice and gameplay freedom BG3 offers, we don't need an evolution, but a revolution in Computer based RPG.
Do I wish the combat was real time like the older infinity engine games rather than turn based like Larian's other rpgs? Yes, I really, really do.
Does that make the game any less good? Not really.
There are some performance issues in the mid-to-late game that keep this from being a 5 star review but honestly its more annoying than game breaking.
I wish I had started this game with a group rather than solo. If you have the opportunity to do that, you should.
If we're gonna compare it to the previous titles I would say that there's not much in common with them - especially in terms of the atmosphere. But that's not really a problem with Baldur's Gate III because what it gives is superb in execution. You may call this completely different game but still as a game its top notch.
What I liked:
* Excellent story line
* Characters
* Choices really matter and they are changing further adventures (!)
* Fun combat and exploration
* It's not an openworld but still is large as hell
* It has some oldschool vibes
* Great graphics and music/sound
* Great fantasy atmosphere on its own
What was not so good:
* First impression
* Inventory managment and sometimes interface
* Too much 'woke' stuff and political correctness
Overall highly recommended.
So far it's not like the other 2 BG (Balders Gate) games.
I like that there are a few more races you can pick from, I love that you can dream (I'd say a lover later on?) of the same/opposite sex who can be any race you can pick for the main person. I enjoy the dice rolling and that it''s not a popup all the time (have 3 checks what just showed it rolled but not the number).
I'd like to (and will check later) to remap the camera controlls (become a little anoying that I hit E and a stat screen opened up). I haven't played it long but I like what I have seen so far.
For people saying about the price: Yes it's one off and Yes if you don't like the cost DON'T BUY IT. The world will keep turning and life will go on. As for the bugs: It crashed once on me and I had some lag in a cutscene but it's Early Access (not the ready game. Things can be fix before release).
Even though I'd never use them I am looking forward to the premade origans becoming available (I like to make my own story).
