Haven't bought it yet, because I don't buy early access on principle. But obviously there are enough people, who can't handle early access and should refrain from reviewing in that case. 5 stars against the noise. Give it a chance after a proper release.

I wanted a BG3, not a Divinity OS 3.0. I guessed early in the trailers how it would be, but I'm still desappointed.

I have not purchased yet, but am def going too. Is it best to buy it on this platform or Steam? From what I have seen, this looks like an amazing game and I am going to go into it knowing that it is in beta and enoy it for what it is.

This is a shitty cash-grab, not an actual Baldur's Gate game, and certainly not a sequel to the originals. It has no continuity of writing, of gameplay, of developer, or anything else. This is a completely different type of game, with completely different gameplay, by completely different developers, with completely different mechanics, written by completely different writers. It has absolutely no claim to the name of Baldur's Gate, and absolutely no claim to being a sequel, save for a paper slip from a marketing department. Do not reward this behavior.

Delete my review, but also delete the reviews of those who are reviewing a game they dont own. I too am too poor to play, that doesnt mean i dont respect the process. MMO's get open beta periods because of the vastness of content, you have to pay for those usually too, i dont know why its a double standard just because 20 years ago people released less complex games that needed less out of house testing.
