I spent the first many hours getting to grips with the turn based play style and how to use my characters, once it clicked for me , the game is great fun and being able to think about next move , instead of kneejerk reactions is a nice change of pace.
CHaracters feel well developed, the world is beautiful and grim and easy to get lost in.
While only slightly inferior to Divinity 2, this game showcases the best in modern CRPGs. The mechanics, like many other Larian RPGs, are DEEP. I have nearly 110 hours in this game and I'm still looking up how to do some things. Like Divinity, you have free reign on how to solve quests, who to help, who to ignore, etc. Serious players should expect an easy 100-200 hours to get the most out of the game. Heck, I only just got into Act 3 ~70 hours in with my first character.
These depths can be daunting to new players, however. So reader be warned!
