There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. It's a try RPG. A ROLE playing game! Choices matter. all choices matter. From character creation, to how you go about moving around the world, to dialogue, to combat... Everything; and it's refreshion to know that there's still a company that exists that's not trying to milk you for every dime with DLC content before the game has even released! (We're not going to name names...) Larian has been one of the greats since the original Divine Divinity, and it's nice to see they've remained true after all these years. Baldur's Gate may be their lastest, but I don't believe for a second it's their last, nor going to be their best. Nonetheless, It's 10/10 from me.
I have sunk almost two hundred hours into this game, and it is a lot of fun, my one complaint, however, is that it does drag on for quite a long time. Of these almost 200 hours, I have only done 1 and a half play-throughs.
If you are not opposed to any of the core mechanics and aspects (turn based combat, more strategic than action packed) then play this masterpiece of a game. Larian poured their hearts into it and it shows on every occasion. BG3 has some flaws as every game does but the good parts are clearly in the majority. You have so much freedom on how to progress it is really outstanding.
