Simple, beautiful and engaging
This point&click adventure has really simple and interesting artwork very well integrated with the game mechanics. The aesthetic of drawings on a paper makes sense in this nightmarish world and makes some of the Moon (dream?) logic puzzles actually intuitive, as crazy as it seems. The soundtrack is really good. I had it on the whole time without feeling repetitive or annoying. Sometimes I felt stuck and there's quite some pixel hunting going on. It didn't bother me that much because you don't have too many options at hand. This is a good way to lead you in the crazy direction that you wouldn't consider normally, drawing (no pun intended) out the sense of being in a world with different rules. I understand this could be considered a flaw for people that didn't like "The Dig", though. It took me 8-9h to play the good and the bad endings and they really feel very different. There's probably a lot more to explore and I like it. The status screen is useful when you're trying the stay focused on one type of ending as you may inadvertently go the toher way. You can't save whenever you like. The autosave points may set you back quite a bit if you try to load a game to correct some mistake you made. Personally, I liked a lot of the bad route despite the gut wrenching things you need to do. There's a sense of action and consequence that keeps you always on your toes and it's awesome for a horror game. It doesn't rely on jumpscares although you have some, specially on the bad route. Overall, I recommend this game for anyone fond of being immersed in a different world with different rules and logic.
