Arx Fatalis is a great, if often under looked rpg. It contains interesting characters, like the ogre who just wants a present, a unique and fun to use magic system, and all the dungeon-crawling you could hope for!
This game is a gem of an RPG, it is basically THE unofficial Ultima Underworld 3. It was originally started as a sequel to the underworlds but the Arcane Studios never could sell it to EA, so they gave the story another direction, but if you play it you can feel Britannia and the Stygian Abyss left and right. As in a typical classical RPG fashion it got mediocre critics from the big gaming sites, but hardcore RPGers rate this game up until now one of the greatest ever released.
there is just much more content in this game then there is in Morrowind dont forget to download the Arx Libertatis Mod, fixes some gliches and helps it run on more modern computers.
In 1994 a game called Kings Field was released it was clunky at times but very fun first person. Then came Kings Field 2, if you enjoyed those games as I did then you will like this. Somehow I had just missed this game over the years and a friend gave this to me to play, Now check it out on GOG which I will have to buy this for my growing GOG collection. Its just one of those games you should experience.
I like the atmosphere in this game, it has a unique magic system. Now the NPC's seems to me 1 dimensional and thought its suppose to be a spiritual successor to Ultima I think Ultima has the edge on this. But if you want an amazing crawl but this game you wont regreat it.

Too long didn't watch: A soulful game, enjoyable, but you have to have a certain tolerance to jank to truly enjoy the experience. Certainly worth one playthrough.
