ART OF FIGHTING 2

ART OF FIGHTING 2 sees 12 characters compete for the title in the toughest fighting contest of them all: King of Fighters. Each character has a range of deadly techniques in his/her arsenal, and players must use these lethal techniques to fight their opponents.
As in the original ART OF FIGHTING, however, using a deadly technique lowers a character’s mental-energy gauge. Meanwhile, players can taunt an opponent to exhaust his/her mental energy, and even suppress his/her techniques. Furthermore, an attack will become stronger or weaker depending on exactly when the button is pressed. And even if a player is thrown, defensive action is possible with the timely press of a button.
All of this adds up to an intense and nail-biting fighting-game experience not found anywhere else!

Decent Port of a Decent Fighting Game
Art of Fighting 2 was a pretty decent fighting game in the era of Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat. This port to PC (Win/Linux/Mac) does a good enough job. XInput controllers; 360, XB1, Logitech F series, and (I think) PS3 and PS4 work good. To have a 2P match simply press the CREDIT button, which is usually a shoulder button. Hardware requirements are very low so no worries for low spec hardware. Again, decent but not as good as Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 or Garou MOTW.

This game is not stable. As soon as I run the game, it's on turbo mode. The game is running so fast that the sound is not catching up. The control is also very off it feels. I seriously believe DotEmu did not deliver what it promised.

Forgotten Fighter Time
The game is a classic example of the rush to make fighters that occurred during the early and mid 90s. The characters are well known fighter types, but what holds it back for the single player game is the obsurd difficultiy. It's worth picking up if you're going to play primarily against friends.

DotEMU Trash
Cannot rebind controls. Have to use an external program to get this slow port with input lag to even work correctly with an arcade stick. The only redeeming quality, is it comes with the ROM so you can legally emulate it after. Just use fightcade.
