Simply Enjoyable & Immersive
There's a lot of good to be said about this lesser-known gem; I'll try hard not to ramble or give anything away! This game can enthrall & spellbind, not by constantly announcing that there's something enthralling & spellbinding going on, but instead, simply by allowing you to play it out. As far as the gameplay, it just feels right; there's skill involved, but not on an overbearing level. It's just the right difficulty to cause you to feel triumphant when you conquer the game's challenges, but without feeling exhausted by the effort. It all adds up to a VERY satisfying experience, which I [place superlative adverb here] recommend to anybody who's not too shallow to enjoy a game for it's core content over its bells & whistles.

A classic, though purely for nostalgia
Reading some of the many reviews for this game, I notice a lot of people complaining of the games difficulty and that it is unforgiving against user errors. People need to keep in mind that games in the 90s were far more difficult than today, this is where the issue with hand-holding in modern games comes into it. If you think back to many classics, all of them were frustratingly hard... Baldurs Gate, Golden Axe, Flashback, Another World, Diablo to name but a few. All were hard, but when you beat something, you actually felt an accomplishment. I never beat this game, I never figured out the ship scene at the end... And without the internet as we have now, there were no real hints on how to actually defeat it... Perhaps now I can actually finish this though. But in truth, I very much doubt this game (or many on the site in general tbh) are designed for new gamers. It feeds off nostalgia which is what we love... If you've never played this before, expect it to hurt, but work through it and you may learn to love it.

Better definition, good old game
I initially believed both 15th and 20th anniversary editions were just repackaged versions of the old DOS edition with included dosbox, but I was wrong! They both are a complete rewrite of the game engine, although the plot doesn't change. That's just great, better graphics, higher definition but same scenes and playability for a game that already was a lot of fun. Anyway I still can't spot any "improvements" between the two anniversary editions in terms of game play, but I'm the glad the latest one has localization files that can be edited with a plain text editor, since Italian strings are far from being perfectly translated.
