Reverse tower defense
It's a fun/challenging reverse tower defense game with you driving your convoy through a variety of cordors which reveal one new enemy tower after another. The story and voice acting are entertaining, the music is servicable, and the visuals are great in 1440p. If you're looking for a game that's easy to pick up and play for a few minutes to a few hours this game is worth the money.

Worth the money
When i was young, before modern consoles, we would go to the arcade and pay .25 to .50 cents for a quick play at a game. This is weekend worth of entertainment for cheap. The gameplay is a welcome change and does not require too much commitment.

for linux: run windows version in wine that said, the rest is somewhat obsolete. review written after <10 hrs and 2 completed campaigns. First the gameplay consists either of 'try, die, repeat' or online-research for tactics and game mechanics first. Neihter is what I consider "enjoyment". For me, it was way too much frustrating to just do 20min grind again and again, just to try another approach for the encounter I failed that comes after that grind. Second, the combination of extremely wobbly control, lack of keyboard movevent and hectic gameplay was the true gamebreaker for me.

This game has a simple premise, get the convoy to the destination. You control a "commander", which can move wherever you want, unlike the convoy that can only go on roads. The commander can "call in abilities" which can help your convoy reach its destination; you can also pause at any time and choose a different route for the convoy and also its composition or upgrades. This is a pretty fun and well-made game that actually has a story. Its casual nature makes it great if you just want to play a quick game. Rating: More like "tower attack", amirite? Recommendation: You can try this even if you're not into "tower defense" games. http://pixelloot.com
