A real gem
This is one of the first games I played completely on my own and I loved every single minute of it. A milestone and the start of one of my favourite franchises in gaming (2205 did kind of suck though). It's relaxing but difficult at the same time, such a great experience.

Just Perfect.
Oh, Anno 1602 so many hours are flowed into your endless mode, so often i heard through the playlist. I was really into playing Anno 1602, I stared to set up an virtual Win 98 to play it - FAILED Second time, I tested some cracks and fixes - FAILED. Was very frustrating, but in the end I decided to take a look to GoG, and finally I found it. I have to give a big thanks to GoG to make this possible. Good that I have discovered this launcher witch my Witcher 3 purchase ! THANK YOU !!! Wish you nice time playing this gem.

A hidden gem from the late 90s
This is one of my first video games of all time. So, I'm a little biased when I say it's one of the best games. While I haven't played the GOG version, I have many fond memories of playing this game. I still play it, actually, using my physical disk. I'm sure I will purchase the digital version in the future. This game is easy to learn, but hard to master. It won't hold your hand. It can be brutal. Enemies can be unrelenting, pirates merciless, and natural disasters, well, disastrous. While it is possible, self sufficiency is incredibly unrealistic in 1602. You'll need to rely on your enemies, and if they are available the free traders, for goods, as you will quickly learn that resources are incredibly scarce. This is an amazing game, not only in its genre, but overall. The money you spend on this game will be money well spent.

Runs Great with Wine
This good ol' game runs excellent underneath Wine on a Linux machine. Play On Linux got hung during the install, but simply running "wine installer.exe" worked just fine.
