For years, you have trained to become an Imperial Battlemage, learning the ways of magic and combat to serve and defend the Emperor. Now, as your final test, you must complete the dreaded Battlespire, facing the challenges that lie within. As you enter the proving ground, however, something doesn’t feel right. You soon discover that Mehrunes Dagon, a Daedra Lord, has invaded and ravaged the Battlespire, killing all in his wake. You are the last hope and although ill-equipped and unprepared, it's up to you to stop Dagon’s plan and restore the Battlespire to Imperial control.
Originally envisioned as an expansion for The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall, this installment was instead released by Bethesda as a stand-alone title. Although still within the Elder Scrolls world and brimming with many loved elements, Battlespire is unique in several aspects; rather than open-world exploration, the game emphasises survival, taking players through 7 levels, including various realms of Oblivion. There are also no shops or merchants, leaving players to salvage whatever they can from their fallen foes. Full character and stat customisation are still a key component of gameplay, as is the ability to craft spells on the fly and the game is full of the lore and characterisation for which the series’ is renowned. Can you defeat Dagon and prove you are worthy of serving the Emperor?
The comment titled "Great game for its time" by "Dagrimreefa" was also directed at the user named "Gotcha", since he was the one b!tching about "Sigils do nothing DUH" and "Big empty rooms WAAAAH"
Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire is another first person RPG made by the white devils of Bethesda in the land of freedom. It shares similiarities with other Somalian RPGs like Arena and Daggerfall, but this is more classical for a reason. Allah loves peace and love, and this game shows it. You can talk your way out of most fights, but when you fight these demons made by the devil, remember to repent and pray your sins away brother. The devil has cursed this videographic interaction with bugs which allah has not fixed out. These graphics are the greatest in the trilogy of Somalian rpgs made by the men of freedom, so i highly recommend this game to all brothers and sisters of islam. ALLAHU AKBAR.
anyone badmouthing this game is a idiot, its not like Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, its not meant to be, it a DUNGEON CRAWLER, i have played somebad ones before and this is anything but, not one of the best but still a good game to fans of the GENRE, forget the Effing Elder Scrolls on the title, different genre, different gameplay and different atmosphere, go back to Whiterun kids
Unlike the COD child above me (Skabb15), I understand how hard it is to make a game. I especially understand how difficult it was back in the DOS days, so I can truly appreciate this game for the DUNGEON CRAWLER it was meant to be. Inexperienced dumb ass kids like Skabb15 don't get the pitfalls and hurdles that had to be overcame in the days of DOS, so stick to simplified, dumbed down games like WoW and Skyrim if a few clipping bugs and primitive graphics gets you. The spoiled COD baby Skabb15 b!tched and moaned (like a girl on her period) that "WAH THERE BIG EMPTY ROOMS WAH THE STORY ISN'T DEEP AND SOAP-OPERA ENOUGH FOR MY FEMININE ASS". If a few empty rooms and a thin storyline are enough to turn you from a game, then sorry you're a fcking spoiled little b!tch that needs to go play WoW with the rest of your 13 year old friends. If the kid actually played more than 5 minutes he'd also realize that the normal sigils do indeed do something: they casts Etherealness, which makes you invulnerable for a short time at the cost of not being able to attack.
Any who, as someone who has actually been thru the grind of making a game based off of old technology, I truly appreciate this game, and I recommend it to the rest of the adults out there who actually grew up playing games like this. For the soft pampered crybaby puss!es like Skabb15, I recommend Barbie's 3D beach bash: its easy, there are no empty rooms, and no clipping bugs to cry about.
This game is also known as the worst game in the Elder Scrolls series. Like anything on GOG, the twinkly eyed fanboys have rated this 5 stars but the game is so bad that they actually removed it from the ES lore. The game makers consider this one of their worst games. Funny how people (idiots) would call this a great game. You are in a tower, a battlemage training tower I believe, and you work your way up. Thats it. You climb a tower, apparently full of enemies that are only a test and live out their years in the tower hoping somone takes "the test". Truly a low point in ES history.
