broken
Game just flat out wont install even offline backup only gives the patches not the game. It just says disc access error. tried "all" options does not work. The only game that does this that I've purchased from gog.

Could have been better
This game has way to much combat. It can drag on for pretty long, and the combat itself is pretty boring. The story, on the other hand, is fantastic. The game looks great and has a great atmosphere. I would have liken if the game had less combat and more parts where you got to explore the enviroment (especially during daytime) where you could just look around, meet people and maybe a few sidequests and hidden goodies and secrets.

Alan Wake is an awesome game!
This game isn't for everybody but this game is a must have on your wishlist! Thanks to GOG Galaxy owning your games and being an open source platform you can actually own your games unlike Valve where you only pay for the license! Best part is this game was paid for out of pocket money and I love how GOG Galaxy is saving retro gaming!

Repetitive, okay story.
Title says it all, the story and environment present themselves as interesting and unique, beautiful forests and spooky imagery. But, the fact of the matter is, the gameplay is the same song and dance every time. focus flashlight, shoot two-three times, rinse repeat.
